Turned Out By A Boss(26)

Knowing Rico, the way that she's sure that she does, she knew he would never leave his phone out in the open unless he trusts you. Not to mention with Rico’s attitude and temper you would have to either be someone special or just crazy as shit to pick up his phone and answer it as if you paid the bill.

Me: So you couldn't come and see your child and make sure as your family that we’re good? Yet you could be laid up with the next bitch. Hopes the hoe f*cks you good because you will NEVER get this again.

Denim stared at the text for a while before actually pressing the send button. Seeing that her message was delivered and read, she threw her phone across the room and broke down crying. She couldn't believe he played her to the left for someone else. Unbeknownst to her, this girl was about to cause way more problems than she was worth.

“Oh, so he finally shows up after four f*cking days," Denim said as she swung the door open. "Bra-f*cking-vo father of the year goes to none other than dumb ass Rico," she said with a disgusted look on her face.

"Man I been sick." he lied scratching his head.

"Rico don't start that lying shit."

He pushed past her walking in and going straight to her kitchen washing his hands. "Man, I was sick. I had a punk ass cold and I know you ain't want me coming around the baby like that," he lied.

"Nigga stop lying."

One thing Rico never liked to do and always avoided was a confrontation with Denim. Yeah, she was a sweet girl and very friendly but when pushed to that point she could have a mouth that'll make you want to lay hands on her.

"Where the baby? I don't have time for you," he said brushing her off and sitting on the couch getting comfortable.

"Nigga you f*cking pathetic. You keep saying baby and it's only because your lame ass doesn't even know what I had. I swear I hate you." she said walking off up the stairs.

She came back minutes later holding a pink blanket with a little Rhia wrapped in it wide awake. She was dressed in pink pants with black polka dots and a black onesie that said daddy's girl in pink writing with the matching hat and socks.

"Here's your daughter her name is Rhia not that you cared." Sassed Denim.

Ignoring her Rico gently took her from Denim and just looked at her. As much as he didn't want Denim to go through with the pregnancy holding Rhia in his arms he grew excited and full of enthusiasm. And no not because he's a father but because he felt with Denim now having his baby there was no way she'd ever be done with him.

Rocking Rhia as she drank from a bottle which consisted of Denim's breast milk. Rico watched as her eyes slowly fell and she fought sleep. Repeating the process of her falling asleep and jumping back up and drinking her bottle she finally was down for the count. Denim watched as Rico laid her in her swing that sat in the living room before going to the kitchen and getting a bottle of water.

“When are you leaving?”

“What, you kicking me out?” he smirked walking closer to her.

“I have plans so you have to go. What made you finally decide to come and see my child anyway? I mean she wasn't important to you all these other days."

He watched her as she stood in the kitchen dressed in a baggy yet fitting pullover dress that stopped mid-thigh. He couldn't deny that she looked cute even though her weight gain from the pregnancy was noticeable.

"I missed you," Rico said ignoring her question as he pulled her in close by her waist and kissed her neck.

"Fuck off me." she mumbled pushing him.

"Stop acting up, and let daddy handle that attitude."

Rolling her eyes, she turned to him. "I'm not f*cking you," she berated.

"So get a nigga off." he said biting his lip which always seemed to get her in the mood but not this time.

"So you want me to suck your dick and then kiss my baby when she wakes up." Looking at Denim's straight face, he backed away trying to check if she was serious or not.

As long as Rico and Denim have been together there was never a time she didn't want to please him or be his stress reliever so to him this was all new.

"I'm out." she shook her head watching him leave out the door.

Bitch. She mumbled hearing his truck rev up and speed off. She was sticking to what she said about no longer taking it there with him and if he couldn't respect it oh well. Not letting him of his little attitude affect her or her day she grabbed up Rhia and her things to tend to the plans she had.

I use to wanna be your everything

But now I don't wanna be nothing

Cause you ain't shit

Boy you ain't shit

And leaving you alone I dodged a bullet

Cause you ain't shit

Boy you ain't shit

And I'm a need for you to keep your distance

I was there every time you would call

For you with no questions

I would instantly give it all

But

Now I see that you were my downfall

Ion wanna hear you voice so I decline when you call

Cause I don't care what you gotta say

It's a little bit too late

And my life is going great with no heartbreak

You, You, You

Ain't

Shit

Denim sang along to the lyrics as she looked for a parking spot. Finding one close to the door, she parked her car getting Rhia out of the backseat she headed for the front of the restaurant. After speaking to her father, she promised she would try and make amends with her mother and sister.
