Turned Out By A Boss(23)
“I don't need a handout,” Cree said as she threw the true religion jeans back on the table they were folded on crossing her arms after seeing the $200 price tag.
Rah’lee walked up to her and pushed the jeans back in her arms. “Look I don't give out handouts so if I do something nice for you take the shit with a smile,” he said through gritted teeth.
“I don't even know you. How do you even have the money to pay for this you're only seventeen?” Cree questioned with an attitude.
“Don't worry about how I’ma pay for this just accept it. You gon’ get to know me don't worry about that right now,” he said kissing her lips.
Cree stood there on cloud nine as he pulled away. She had just experienced her first kiss with who she believed to be the most attractive boy in the world and she couldn't be happier.
“Come on pretty.” he said grabbing her by the waist and going towards foot locker.
Rah’lee wasn't exactly the nicest person so the things he was doing for Cree was not only shocking to her but himself as well. Usually, when it came to females, all he was concerned with was if he was f*cking of not. It was something about Cree that told him she needed to be treated differently and after hearing the things she went through at home thanks to those messy ass cheerleaders putting her on front street all he wanted to do was protect her.
At the age of seventeen Rah’lee was already making his own money. Following in his father’s footsteps, Rah’lee was being trained to take over when his father retired. Never having his mother present in his life due to her being a prostitute that his father just slipped up with he never had the love of a female that he needed. Growing up with a father that ran the streets he'd see many females coming and going, most only trying to get to know him just to get closer to his father. He created a shell and became cold to all woman blaming his mother for not loving him enough to change her ways and be the parent he needed.
“Rah'lee you don't have to do this,” Cree mumbled as they looked at the different sneakers that aligned the stores wall.
“Cree, baby, chill I got this. I told you just accept whatever I get you, ma.”
Sighing Cree sat back watching as he looked through the sneakers picking the ones he thought she'd look good in. With a smile on her face and in that moment, Cree realized if she couldn't count on anyone else to be there for her she had him.
Cree stood scared and nervous to knock on the door as she fixed her hair and clothes with a shaky breath. Putting her hand up about to knock she was shocked to see the door open.
"I was wondering how long it was gon’ take you to announce yourself.” It was none other than the man she loved Rah’lee. She gave him a once over seeing he still looked the same just a bit more matured but jail did do his body good. Not saying he went in skinny but now he had the body of a grown ass man instead of the little boy he once was.
Smiling she wasted no time jumping in his arms. “I missed you,” she cried.
Carrying her in the house Rah’lee headed straight to his room laying her on the bed. “What you been up to? You found somebody?” he asked as he sat down beside her. Wasting no time with his survey.
Putting her head down, she didn't want to answer him because in her mind she had betrayed him in an ultimate way. No matter how many times he told her to go out and do her while he did a five year bid. She knew he didn't mean it.
She didn't know how she was going to tell the man she loved and wanted to marry that she had indeed found somebody fell in love and all for it to be a joke. “I don't want to talk about that. Let's talk about us,” she said leaning into him and kissing his lips.
“I rather you tell me then I go out and find out in the streets,” he said giving her a serious look. Unbeknownst to him that that was the least of Cree’s worries.
Everybody in Staten Island knew how Cree got down and that she was Rah’lee’s wifey so she made it her business to move right after she graduated and never date let alone entertain a dude from there. While dating Rah’lee Cree went through a lot. From dealing with bitches claiming him as theirs, being around drugs and everything else the streets came with but what she could live without honestly would have to be the hood fame. Rah’lee was looked at like a God and that was something she hated because just by being affiliated with him everyone was always either in her business or making up nonexistent things about her.
"You wouldn't know him if I told you. So it doesn't matter, just know, I'm here with you,” she said dismissing the conversation.
“I love you,” he said sighing. It hurt Rah’lee to know Cree was messing with somebody while he was locked up but he couldn't blame anybody but himself. Besides, he told her to explore and have fun.
Smiling Cree grabbed his face kissing him, “I love you too.” She said straddling his lap.
“So now that you are home what's next? Are you out or what?” Cree asked.
“Why would I be out? Five years was a setback but it definitely didn't stop the money flow.” Rah’lee said looking at her funny.
Before he got locked up, Cree was his ride or die bitch if he was driving she always made it her business to ride. It was times when she was the one holding drugs and guns and now she talking about getting out the game. Something was definitely up and Rah’lee wanted to get to the bottom of it.
