Turned Out By A Boss(28)

"Yeah, whatever nigga."

Hearing the hostility in his voice Daryl decides to ignore the obvious attitude Rico was giving him. "So when the next time you going over there I wanna see your lil mama."

"Man, I don't know that bitch Denim tripping hard."

"So what you not f*cking with her no more." He chuckled.

"Nah I'm f*cking with her but she need to lose weight first she too big," Rico said without thinking.

"Nigga she just gave birth to your child not even a week ago," Daryl said not believing what was coming out of his friend’s mouth.

Denim was always a bad bitch. From the way she dressed to her shape and face baby girl was always on point even pregnant. So this was shocking to him that Rico wasn't feeling her. Especially since the weight gain and her being too big as he called it was from carrying his child.

"She gon' leave your stupid ass one day. Deena stuck up ass too just watch."

"Deena ain't going nowhere as long as I'm supporting her annoying ass and Denim well let's just say she was like before but now not only do I buy everything she has she gave birth to my seed I own her. Besides, how would she support her and that baby without a nigga," he laughed hanging up.

Only a nigga like me could juggle four annoying nagging ass females, Thought Rico.

With no real destination in mind, he drove aimlessly. Having Deena think he wouldn't be back in New York until tomorrow he refused to go home.

Driving around, he thought about Rhia and couldn't act like when he held her and saw her for the first time she didn't add a little more brightness to his world. He felt the need to protect and care for her and he knew the only way to do that was to be the best father he could and make sure she didn't end up with a nigga like him.

Making an illegal u-turn, he wasted no time driving back to Denim’s house. He didn't know if she was there or not but he wasn't leaving until he spent time with his baby.

Pulling up to Denim’s house Rico was shocked to see her actually gone. He thought her having plans was a lie for him to not be there. Using his key, he let himself in. Kicking off his sneakers and taking his shirt off he relaxed not knowing how long it was gonna take Denim to return with his baby.

Denim

Walking into her house Denim was confused on who told Rico it would be okay to be there while she wasn't. She looked at him stretched out on the couch sleeping as she placed Rhia’s car seat on the floor. With all her might she kicked the couch sending him flying off rolling onto the floor.

"Oh shit." He groaned hitting the floor and landing on his back.

“Why are you here?”

“I want to spend more time with Rhia. Where is she?” he asked getting up dusting his self-off.

“She's right there. Since you're deciding to be a father, I'm going to take a nap.”

Ignoring her Rico picked up a sleeping Rhia. Holding her up Rico couldn't believe how much she took after him. This was definitely his twin the only thing she may have gotten from Denim was probably her bottom lip.

“Hey pretty. I'm your daddy,” he spoke to her as she grabbed his finger tightly causing him to smile.

Rico sat down kicking his feet up on the table as he laid her on his chest. Being that she was so little, he knew all she probably wanted to do was sleep. Watching her curl up closer to him he rubbed her back.

“I'm sorry.” he whispered to her before laying his head back.

“She's beautiful, right? Let me guess you're feeling guilty.” Denim said as she stood in front of him.

“I thought you were going to sleep. Why you in here messing with us. You miss me? That's what it is.”

She replied no as he pulled her down onto the couch beside him. Wrapping his arms around her, she snuggled into his chest.

“Who answered your phone yesterday?”

“Not important.” he said dismissing the subject.

"It's very important. You texted me you were on your way and never showed, how do you think I felt. Not to mention you've been acting funny since I had Rhia.”

“How have I been acting funny.” he raised his voice.

“Rico are you serious I was in labor calling you back to back and you f*cking ignored my calls. Yet sent a bullshit text about you couldn't make it,” she yelled getting hype.

Sighing Rico knew he was wrong and that it was only a matter of time before she was gonna bring that up. He knew he should have been there with her holding her hand while she gave birth, but he also knew he couldn't just up and leave his wife. They were just gonna have to agree to disagree on that subject.

“Hello,” He answered his phone as Denim stared in his face.

“Hey, baby, I miss you.”

“I miss you, too. Baby, can I call you back?” Rico asked as Rhia moved around on his chest getting fussy.

“Wait. Is that a baby in your background?” she yelled. Being that she was so loud Denim heard her. Looking at Rico, she waited for his response which neither of them ever got because he hung up.

“I don't know how long you think my baby gonna be a secret. I'm telling you now I'm not lying about who I slept with.”

“You tell my wife anything and we’re gonna have a problem.” he said through gritted teeth.

“You don't scare me, Rico. You should've found a different side chick if you thought you had control like that.” Denim laughed.
