Watching(23)

I can feel my eyes getting too heavy and soon it is too hard to keep them open that I fall into a deep sleep. But before I am too far gone, I feel warmth wrap around me, I smile knowing he is beside me.

I wake up to a tickling sensation on my arm, I turn to see Killian lying next to me, smiling. “Welcome back.”

I groan, stretching my body, noticing I have a thin sheet over me, covering me. “I fell asleep?” He nods.

“You did, you’ve only been asleep for about twenty minutes. I bet today has taken its toll on you. I have run you a hot bath if you want to get in.”

I sit up and I flinch when I feel how sore my body is. I pull the sheet off me and see a few marks on me, but I also notice there is cream covering them. I look to him. “You put cream on me?”

“You fell asleep and I knew you’d be sore. I didn’t want you to bruise so I put it on you to help as you slept.” I almost gush at him, he can be so sweet.

“Thank you.” I lean forward and press a kiss to his lips.

“You’re very welcome Angel.” I stand up and head to the bathroom and when I get in the bubble bath, I sigh by the feel of it. Some of the marks do sting a little but I am more thankful than anything. I just need a good soak.

I am laying there when I hear a knock on the main door and Killian answering it. “How is she?” I hear Violet's voice.

“She was tired, she fell asleep, but having a quick bath now.”

“She is more than I ever expected.” I hear her say.

“Tell me about it. She is like this new drug to me, I can’t keep away from her.” I wonder what Violet is thinking. Surely, she can’t like that he is saying this about another woman.

“I am happy. Have you slept with her yet?” There is a pause.

“No.” Is all he says, he doesn’t even tell her that we almost did. I wonder why.

“I know she likes you, Killian, just be patient with her.” She reassures him.

“She will sleep with me when she’s ready. Just being with her, it’s enough for now.”

“She will be gone after this weekend. If not sooner.”

“Not if she wants to become a member.” He says back.

“You know she can’t afford what we ask, and besides, I know you wouldn’t want to share her.” I sit up straighter.

“We can let her off with payment, she may be happy to be with just us.” He sounds hopeful.

“You know she will eventually want to move on to other people, plus sometimes three is a crowd.” Another pause. “I want you to be happy Killian, but with Angel, she may like the pleasure and desire of all this, but she will want a normal life too.”

“Let’s just enjoy this weekend.” He tells her, obviously wanting to drop the subject.

“Remember though she is going to the sensory room, she made sure that we didn’t join. Can you handle that? Other people going to touch her, to feel her?”

“Can you?” He asks sternly.

“No, but I will respect her wishes. So should you.” It's quiet until I hear the door close and I just stay still for another ten minutes before getting out wrapping a white fluffy towel around me.

I head back into the room and see Killian sitting on the bed, his head in his hands. He looks up when he hears me. “Did you enjoy your bath?” He gives me a smile but I know it's forced.

“I did thank you, who was at the door?” I ask him. He looks to the door like it’s going to open up.

“Violet, she was just checking up on you.”

“That’s nice of her.” I kneel down in front of him. “You both do make a cute couple.”

“We aren’t a couple, couple.” I look at him confused.

“What do you mean?” He stands and starts pacing but I stay on the floor.

“She is my partner here at the club but out there.” He points out the window. “In the real world, we aren’t together.”

“So you’re only a couple here at the club but that’s it?”

“Basically.”

“Why aren’t you seeing each other out of here, you both seem so in sync.”

“She is more into women out in the real world.” He gives me a look. My mouth hangs open in an O. Violet likes being with women more than men. So, Killian is probably her only male sexual partner. That’s why she kept watching me at the hall, and that she won’t like it when I go to the sensory room.

“Oh.” Is all I say.

“Yeah.” He says before kneeling down in front of me so we are eye level. “Not everything is as they seem in this place.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I wanted you to feel what you feel no matter the influences.” He tucks some hair behind my ear, then strokes my cheek with the back of his hand. “We better get you to the last room.” He says. I nod and we both stand up.

“What about clothes?” I ask him.

“The sensory room, you will be naked and blindfolded, just walk down in the towel.”

“Okay.” He entwines his fingers with mine, once again we head back down to the party, but on the trip down, the atmosphere is different. It’s not as charged as it was earlier.

Something has changed.
