Trusting Nicole (The Last Hangman MC #4)(62)

“What’s so funny, loverboy?” Slider comes over to us.

“Nothing. Just thinking about your face when we get out of this alive.”

“That’s not gonna happen. As soon as my men call me to tell me the job is done, you two are dead.”

“We had a f*cking deal. You have to let him go.” Nicole yells.

“That deal ended when he tried to screw me over and free you.”

“You’re going to regret the day you were born.” she tells him calmly, squeezing my fingers.

“You should have been back handed a little bit more, maybe you wouldn’t open your f*cking mouth so much. You’re in no position to talk. I could just end you and nobody could do anything about it. Not even your loverboy.”

“But you won’t, because you’re chicken shit. You’re not capable of anything. You’re all talk and no bite. You don’t deserve to live. You are less than scum, that’s all you are and will ever be. Your brother deserved what happened to him, he was just as psycho as you. It was good to see the life slip away from his body. He tried to call for help you know, but no sound came from his lips, probably because I had hit one of his lungs. Who knows what damage I did, I emptied the f*cking clip into his body. I hope to God I get to do the same with you or maybe I should tie you up and slice up your body, beat you up and cut off every single one of your limbs.” she tells him with her voice void of any emotion. She sounds like me and I hate to hear it. I hate to hear that she is so used to violence that talking about things like this doesn’t freak her out.

“Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!” he yells over and over, holding his head between his hands whilst pulling on his hair. “You’re going to pay for that!” he yells.

“I don’t think so.” Nicole says calmly.

“Oh, really? And why, Princess.” He spits at Nicole.

“See, it’s all been a trap. Do you really think I would willingly tell you where my friends and family are hiding if we didn’t have a plan?” The sarcasm lacing her voice makes me smile, I f*cking love her. I can picture the expression on her face as she deadpans.

“What?” Slider yells.

“Yes. No one was killed in the blast and only half of them were at the warehouse, do you think ten of your men can do anything against a hundred?”

“Where are the others?” He yells at her.

“Right behind you.” I hear Gabe say.

CHAPTER 27

Nicole

I sigh with relief when I see my brothers.

“Down!” I whisper loudly and start to move to the side to make him understand what I’m up to. We both lean over the sides of our chairs so we fall onto our sides, avoiding the bullets that fly through the air. The front door bursts open and bullets start flying. I’m on the ground with Jase but unfortunately, Slider is lying on the ground too. I manage to free my other hand and help Jase. He looks barely conscious and in extreme pain, no wonder considering all the torture he’s been put through. I take in the extent of the damage, it’s breaking my heart.

“It’s going to be okay.” I kiss his swollen lips and pull off my flannel shirt and wrap it around his hand. It’s not bleeding as much anymore but I don’t want it to get any worse.

“Thank God you had a plan.” He chuckles and groans in pain.

“I always do.” I smile softly. “Please don’t die, I have to do something quickly, I’ll be right back.” I kiss him softly as the gunfire ceases. All of the Disciples are on the ground, dead. All of them besides Slider. He tries to crawl away to hide, but I see him and grab the gun he dropped under our chairs.

“Where do you think you’re going?” I ask and shoot him once in his knee.

He yells in pain and turns around. “Of course you have a gun. Go on, shoot me! I f*cking dare you!”

“All in due time.” I smirk and circle him. “I want my fun with you, after all, that’s what you deserve.”

“You won’t be able to handle a second death on your conscience.” He snarls.

“You think? I mean, I’ve been able to live for two years without your brother’s death bothering me.” I shrug.

“Heartless bitch,” he spits out.

“Yeah, maybe I am but at least I’ll walk out of here alive, can’t say the same for everybody else though. All your men are dead and you’re about to join them. How do you feel?”

“Fuck you!” he yells.

“See, we told you we would leave this warehouse alive, we always keep our promises.” I chuckle. “You should have killed me when you had the chance, you coward. You don’t have the balls to be in an MC let alone be the president of one, you don’t get to call yourself an outlaw. All you do is hide behind others, spouting your orders without getting your hands dirty.”

“That’s what any self-respecting Prez does.”

“See, I remember Ant beating one or two of your friends to a pulp with his bare hands, he didn’t ask anyone else to do it. Maybe you’ve got a wrong idea of what a Prez is supposed to be. But oh well, it’s not like you’ll ever be one again.”

“I hope you die of a slow painful death, Bitch.” Slider snarls.

“Like wise.” I smirk and shoot out his other knee, he screams in pain. “Scream all you want, come on, let me hear you scream. Nobody on this earth cares about you. You don’t deserve to live. Say hi to your brother and your parents for me.” I aim at his chest and empty the clip, but save the last one for his head. I shoot him right between his eyes.
