In Spite of the Bosset Life(47)

“So, how long we gotta wait? What it’s doing bae?” asked Ace, looking down at the test.

“Just a few minutes. Enough time for you to come ova here and give my pearl some attention,” I said, rubbing my clit. Ace didn’t know what to do. He looked so lost. I did circular motions over my clit and started moaning. “C’mere Da Da... I think it wants you.” I was making that * talk as I played with my clit.

“Fuck Mook,” said Ace, coming to the bed. I smiled and took my panties off. Ace went down and ate my box hella good. I was cumming all over the sheets. Once I calmed down, Ace went back to the bathroom. He picked up the box and the pregnancy test. He looked to be in deep thought. I swear it wasn’t that much shit to read.

“Ace!” I wanted to know what it said too.

“What?”

“What it say?” I asked, getting up. My legs were still weak, so I couldn’t make it to the bathroom.

“Baby, you’re pregnant! I’m gon be a daddy again!” Ace picked me up and he swung me around. We landed on the bed and I kissed him. I held his face and made sure to hold him tight. Even though he knew already, seeing that test overjoyed him.

“I had too many insecurities and you know why. It allowed me to not trust. Trust that you’ll be around and be here for me.... if you leave me during this pregnancy, I’m gon off you! I put too much in this shit. I be damn.”

“Yo hormones already f*cked up. Every time you pregnant you get violent, girl!”

“Ahaha! Not funny,” I said laughing, then turning dead f*cking serious.

“Okay, okay, Mook... I’m done joking with you. For real though, shawty. It’ll kill me to ever leave you or my daughter. I thought I had lost my family so now I’m going to do everything to keep y’all happy. The king is home to stay!” We both laughed.

“Gimme some,” I said, raising my fist for a pound. Ace dapped me up.

“Thug ass,” said Ace, running his finger over my nose.

Chapter 20

“Budor budor,” said Majesty, climbing all over her brother. Kash had been chilling with us the whole morning but Majesty had enough energy to play with her brother all day.

“I love you Majey.” Kash was loving all over his little sister. This was the last time he would see her. I could tell it was hurting his heart. He brought Majesty this pink power wheel Camaro just to ease his pains. I felt really bad that Kash had to leave us.

“I wuv you too,” said Majesty, kissing her brother’s face. I laid on Ace’s chest, just watching. “Budor...Budor! Why you sad?”

“Remember Majesty. Kash has to leave. He’s going away like I told you earlier.”

“I know Ma Ma. I don’t wann my budor to leave,” said Majesty, holding Kash tight. Kash wiped his face. He looked like he wanted to cry. I felt Ace’s body tense up like he wanted to do something.

“He’s coming back. Remember, you can draw pictures for him and he’s going to call you too, princess.” Ace lifted me up and got up. I didn’t know what he was about to do. “Ace?” Ace walked over to his son and to my surprise, he gave him a hug. That blew me.

“I’m sorry dad,” said Kash sincerely. Kash was no street kid. He was a private school kid who grew up in the suburbs. He was no thug whatsoever.

“You gotta be a man now. Won’t nobody be in that cage but you. You gotta hold yo own. We out chea and we got you. Just come home smarter and more knowledgeable. You got so much to offer due to the power that’s naturally in you, son. I imported morals and wisdom in you. Take that with you and you’ll be fine.”

“I don’t want to seem like we just lecturing you... but you know, Kash. You hurt my feelings and now you’re hurting everybody around you. Son, ignorance to da law is not a valid excuse baybee,” I said, picking my daughter up. I hugged and kissed Kash and let him spend a few minutes with his sister. This was just a horrible time. I felt somewhat responsible. I was his mother. Ace was gone for three years and I couldn’t keep his son out the streets.

“How long you think it’ll be before he can get released? He has a baby coming,” I said. Majesty was sitting at her Minnie Mouse table coloring. Ace and I were in the kitchen talking. Kash was gone and trying to make things straight with ChaCha. They weren’t in a good spot right now.

“I’ll have him back before the baby comes. He need to learn. Street life ain’t what ya want. He ain’t built for that. I wanted him to be a smart businessman but this dumb muthafuka don’t know shit.” I let him talk, even though I wasn’t with the shit. The more he talked, the more annoyed I was getting with my own husband.

Ace talked to some people in high places and paid some hefty fees. I knew that but it seemed like Ace was doing some slick shit that we didn’t talk about. Kash could’ve got off from them bricks in the car but it sounded like Ace wanted to teach his son a lesson. He wasn’t going to pay every time Kash f*cked up and did some stupid shit. I understood that part. Ace was really the one making Kash spend a little time away and not the judge. That part pissed me off. “If he don’t, he gon either be in jail or dead. I did my part,” said Ace, as if he didn’t care.

“Ace, maybe you should call it off. Kash seems like he might understand the extent of his actions. You can’t really be sending him to jail! You’re his father.”
