In Spite of the Bosset Life(52)

“You can keep doing dat but you gotta stop smoking boo,” I said, holding my breast. Ace wrapped his hand around my waist and it was on.

It took us two hours to shower and get dressed. Ace f*cked me good in the shower. I was no longer mad and was feeling real good. Them twenty-minute session were the best! We finally had our bags and was headed out the door.

“Hey,” I said to this young girl who looked mad familiar.

“Hey. Koì right? Um… I see you at Chanel Styles. Chanel does my hair,” said the girl.

“Yeah,” I said smiling.

“I’m Zy’Noir. This is my husband, Ka’Nui.”

“Nice to meet you. I’m Koì, and this is my daughter and my husband,” I said, pointing back at Ace. Ace kissed my cheek and then shook Ka’Nui’s hand. They started talking as if they knew each other already. He was very much surprised to see my husband and was happy to see him.

“Well, it was nice to see you,” I said to Zy’Noir. We were running late, so I didn’t have time to really chat. Plus, I wasn’t with really trying to make friends. Ace escorted me and my daughter to the elevator. We loaded up in the black Range and got ready to head to the doctor office.

“We late,” said Ace, reversing backwards.

“I wonder why,” I said, applying my Ka’oir lip gloss.

“Ma Ma, I wann some!” Majesty was trying to get out her booster seat just to get some of my lip gloss. I loosely closed it and reached in the back to give it to her.

“Majesty, hell naw. You bet not put that on! Sit back and chill out. What’s wrong with you?” said Ace, looking at me like I was f*cking crazy.

“She can’t just put a little on, Ace?”

“Hell naw! She better lick her muthafuka lips. She not wearing no lip gloss.”

“So mean...sorry Smoochie. Da Da hating,” I said, putting it in my white Hermes bag. Majesty started pouting, of course. I ignore her and checked through my emails. Lately, I had some new business ventures proposed to me.

Even though we were extremely late to our doctor’s appointment, Dr. Edmonds still saw us right away. I was happy because Majesty was not going to act right in the waiting area.

Everyone in the office was so happy to see us. Definitely Majesty, since they got to see her grow into a healthy three-year-old. Dr. Edmonds carried Majesty all around the office. She loved her some Smoochie. I had Majesty sit with the nurse in the play area until my confirmation of my pregnancy was done. Ace was so happy that I sure enough was going to be having another baby. After I changed out the gown and put back on my regular clothes, Majesty joined us again.

“Majey, you’re going to be a big sister! How about that,” said Dr. Edmonds, raising my shirt. I wasn’t showing but Dr. Edmonds said I would really soon.

“Baby? Baby in here?” asked Majesty, pointing to my belly. I smiled and held back my tears.

“Yep Smoochie. Mommy’s having a baybee.” After we got our ultrasound pictures and chatted with the staff, we prepared to leave.

“Don’t forget, Koì. Well, Mr. Jordan I know you won’t,” said Dr. Edmonds, walking us out. Ace had asked about my morning sickness. He was worried me or the baby wouldn’t get the nutrition we needed if I threw up everything. She gave us some pointers but started me on a nice range of prenatal pills. Dr. Edmonds gave me a list of things to do naturally for my insomnia. She didn’t want me taking too much medication. She definitely didn’t want my medications clashing so doing things naturally was the route we decided to go for my insomnia.

We went to Toys R Us to grab some more gifts for Aqua. I had a cart full of gifts for my Goddaughter. Majesty thought they were hers. Ace and I shopped together, picking things out. He pushed the cart as I just threw random cute toys in the basket. I was finally done and we headed to Nola and Sebastian’s mansion out in Frontenac. We stayed for the first two hours of the beautiful under the sea birthday party.

“I’m sorry we can’t stay longer girl. Me and Ace gotta go,” I said, hugging my best friend. I couldn’t wait to see what Ace planned for the night. I knew it would be special and that we were going to compromise on everything. I knew me being happy was important to him, so I would get my way.

“Girl, you good. I’m about to feed these kids and then send them on their way. We gotta check into the hotel still. Aqua and Majesty gon have a ball at the Luminaire. I’ll drop Majesty off tomorrow evening. I gotta go make sure these chefs don’t burn down my damn kitchen,” said Nola, dead serious. I cracked up laughing.

“Okay thanks,” I said, going to find my husband. “Accee... boo, where y’at?” I walked down the halls looking for him. I walked back down the hall trying to find him. I heard a slight commotion going on. I didn’t have a clue who it was. Kids were running around me and this little girl ran right into me. Majesty was right behind her.

“Ma Ma,” said Majesty, smiling with so much joy. I picked her up, trying to find her daddy.

“Me and Daddy about to leave Smoochie.” I kissed her big cheeks. “You gon be good? You gon be a big girl?”

“Yes momma.”

“Mwah! I’m gon see you tomorrow okay,” I said, kissing my baby.

“Okay Ma Ma... can I go play?” My attention was captured by Ace. He was in the front room with Sebastian and Abir. I stopped dead in my tracks. My heart raced. I hadn’t seen or heard from Abir. Now he was right here with a gun in his face.
