Love At First Glance (Love at Firsts #1)(75)

“Are you alright?” he asks in a whisper, bringing me back to reality.

“More than.” I smile at him.

“You’re crying.” He wipes my tears away with his thumb.

“I’m good, I’ve just never felt better,” I tell him and kiss him deeply. He slowly starts to move, pulling out before thrusting back in slowly, giving me time to adjust. I never want this moment to end. I feel full, not because he’s inside of me, well that too, but you know, I feel complete.

He places soft and gentle kisses on my lips, never breaking eye contact. His picks up the pace, thrusting harder and deeper, his kisses getting more passionate with the need we both feel. I scratch my nails down his back and grab his firm ass. He starts to move faster.

“I’m close, Love,” he whispers against my lips.

“Me too,” I whisper back, lost in this perfect moment.

He seals our lips into another scorching kiss as he thrusts even harder and faster, bringing the both of us over the edge. We moan with pure unadulterated pleasure as we find our release. I feel like I’ve just died and gone to heaven. My body feels light, my mind is floating in happiness and these waves of pleasure keep coming, making me dizzy with desire.

We stay connected for what seems like forever. But all too soon to my liking, he pulls out and I whimper at the sudden loss.

“I know, Love.” He sighs and kisses me softly. “I’ll be right back.” He takes off the condoms and ties a knot before throwing it in the trashcan by the stairs. He disappears in the ensuite bathroom and comes back a few seconds later, with a warm wet cloth and proceeds to gently clean me.

“I love you.”

“And I love you.” He smiles at me lovingly before climbing back into bed next to me and cuddling me under the covers.

CHAPTER 23

Four Days Later

I jump out of Spencer’s car as he drops me off at work. I round his car and lean in through the window.

“Thanks, Love.” I smile and kiss him through his car window.

“My pleasure.” He kisses me back. “I’ll be back in two days.” He pouts.

“Okay.” I smile as he pecks my lips over and over.

“I don’t want to let you go.” He chuckles.

“Neither do I, but some of us have a desk job and can’t go frolicking in the woods taking pictures.” I glare at him “You love your job.” He smiles.

“I do.”

“Good luck with work.” He winks. “And don’t forget to think about moving in with me.”

“You’re lucky I don’t want to ruin my manicure or I'd slap that smug look off your face.”

“Oh I know, why do you think I'm still in the car?”

“Cocky bastard.”

“I don’t care, you love me the way I am. Now, go before you’re late.” He gets out of the car and kisses me hard, leaving me all hot and bothered and breathless. “Go on.” He chuckles.

“You’re a dick.”

“Already missing it, huh?” He waggles his eyebrows.

“I can’t hear you.” I shout and wave at him as I walk into the building. He blows me a kiss and drives off. After spending four days alone with him, it’s going to be tough not seeing him for two days. He’s going on a trip with his course and, whilst I’m not going to be one of those clingy girlfriends, I am going to miss him.

I walk into the office and smile when I see my co-workers. I actually missed them whilst I was away. Even though my job is stressful and tiring at times, I love it and love the people I work with.

“Someone looks well rested and well f*cked,” Matt greets me cheerfully.

“Yes, and yes.” I grin and greet them all before sitting down at my desk.

“I'm shocked!”

“Really?” I grin.

“Yeah, didn’t think you’d be this open about it.” Matt shrugs.

“There’s no point hiding it.” I smile and take off my jacket. “Thanks for helping out with the boss for my time off.” I smile.

“My pleasure, you deserved it.” Matt winks. “I want to know every single little detail.” He chuckles.

“Can’t it wait ‘til lunch? I have three days' worth of work to catch up on first.” I give him my puppy eyes look.

“Alright, but at lunch you’re mine.” He grins and I nod as I fire up my computer.

I dive straight into work, replying to a bunch of work related emails, scheduling a few appointments for interviews with models, an opera singer and a film director. I also email Spencer about a couple of photoshoots that need to be done for the upcoming articles so he can schedule them in. I'm reading over the final version of my interview with Untamed Shadows when Matt exclaims, “Lunch Time!” scaring me half to death.

“Are you crazy?” I ask him appalled.

“Yes. You hadn’t noticed?” he asks and chuckles like a mad man.

“Well, yes, but you almost gave me a heart attack.”

“Sorry.” He kisses my head and wheels me away from my desk.

“I forgive you but don’t do it again.” I smile and grab my jacket and bag.

Matt, Alicia and I walk to our usual hang out spot, the sushi bar. Alicia and I are walking by Matt’s side, each of us holding onto his arm. He’s in heaven.
