Love At First Glance (Love at Firsts #1)(74)

We spend the next four hours walking once around the lake and I’m exhausted. Who knew it’d be so big. I’m going to be sore tomorrow. I’m so not used to this much exercise and fresh air. Spencer, however, is in outdoors workout heaven. I’m currently sprawled on the big couch watching him fix us some food. I don’t care what he makes as long as it’s edible, I’m starving.

I’m dozing off to the soft sound of music playing from my phone when I feel something sit on my back.

“Bernard, get off.” I chuckle.

“I sent him to wake you up. Food is ready.” Spencer’s voice becomes louder as he walks closer to me.

“How long did I sleep?” I yawn rubbing my eyes.

“Not long, just a couple of minutes.” He kisses my head and picks up Bernard who was starting to get comfy on me.

“That’s not too bad then.” I get up and walk to the table to see that he’s dimmed the lights and lit some candles.

“I thought a romantic candle lit dinner would be the perfect way to end the first day.” He smiles, looking almost shy.

“Are you trying to seduce me?” I grin.

“Yes, is it working?” He kisses my neck.

“Maybe…” I sit down in one of the chairs.

“Good.” He chuckles. “I can't cook you a proper meal here to really woo you, didn't think of bringing the right ingredients, but I figured you’d enjoy mushroom ravioli in a basil and tomato sauce just as much.” He brings over two plates to the dining room table and a little dish with grated cheese on.

“You thought of everything.” I smile.

“I tried. I had to keep it simple and bring food that wouldn’t spoil in the car.” He shrugs.

“You did good.” I smile and take a bite of one of the ravioli and moan in pleasure. “This is so freaking good.” I sigh happily.

“Glad you enjoy it.” He smiles and starts eating. For some reason, he looks quite nervous.

“What’s making you nervous?” I rub the hand that’s resting on the table near me.

“Nothing.” He looks at me.

“I know you.” I chuckle.

“Just wondering how this night will end…” He grins sheepishly.

“Oh god, here comes the Spencer I know, I wondered where he was.” I chuckle.

“I’m just nervous. I don’t know if you want to and if you do how it will go.” He shrugs.

“Of course I want to,” I reply.

“You do?” he asks surprised.

“Yes, don’t sound so surprised.” I chuckle.

“Sorry, I just thought you’d make me wait forever.”

“I could…but then I’d be punishing myself too.”

“That’s true.” He smiles and leans over to kiss me. “Let’s not focus just on that right now, let’s enjoy our evening and we’ll see how things go.” He kisses me again and I nod, but now I can’t help thinking about it.

We eat the rest of our food in a comfortable silence, not because we don’t have anything to say, but because we don’t feel the need to fill every silence with chatter. I love these quiet moments.

After dinner we decided to relax in the hot tub for a bit, which was lovely until we had to run back inside in the cold air because we forgot the towels. We took a shower to warm up before jumping into bed in our bathrobes, cuddling each other to keep us warm.

Spencer leans over me, smiling as he lowers his beautiful face closer to mine before capturing my lips in a deep and passionate kiss. He caresses my chest and ribs, making sure to tease my now exposed nipples with his thumb. He pauses for a second to look at me, his gaze is filled with such intensity and passion that I'm about ready to self-combust. My heart is pounding, my skin breaks out in goosebumps and I’m breathing shallowly. Both from the feeling of having his soft warm hands over my naked body and in anticipation of what’s to come.

He maneuvers himself so he’s lying on top of me and starts to grind on me. His hard length rubs against my sensitive spot, awakening all my senses with one move. He slowly unties both of our robes, helping me get out of mine before sitting on his heels to remove his. I take in his perfectly sculpted body and feel suddenly shy being this exposed to him. I try to close my legs, but he shakes his head and resumes his position.

He smiles at me and kisses me deeply, caressing my tongue with his. He slowly inches his body down and kisses a trail down my neck to my boobs. He slowly swirls his tongue over my taut nipples, making me arch my back in pleasure.

“Now, Spencer. I can’t take this teasing any longer.” I moan as he slips his hand between my legs, circling my clit with his thumb.

“I can feel that.” He smirks at him and grabs a condom from the bedside table before rolling it over his impressive length.

“Don’t be a dick now.” I glare at him and he just smirks at me as he teases me with the tip of his cock. I lift my hips, trying to get a better angle and to stop this teasing, but he pulls away from me completely.

“Patience.” He leans over to whisper against my lips before capturing my mouth again. He holds his weight on his forearms and keeps passionately kissing me, all the while rubbing he length of his cock along my slit. I pull him closer to me and wrap my legs around his waist. Just as I’m about to say something, he thrusts into me inch by slow inch. Each movement sends a shiver through my body. You know how they say that the first time you have sex with The One you'll see and feel fireworks? That's exactly how I'm feeling right now. The world could end now and I wouldn't care. This is the happiest I’ve ever been, not because Spencer and I are finally having sex, but because this is real, it feels incredible. We were always supposed to be together. The wait only made it better.
