Love At First Glance (Love at Firsts #1)(80)

“You’ll be fine, don’t worry. I’m here for you.” He smiles and sits by my head. He takes off his jacket, makes himself comfortable, and rests his head on the bed next to mine.

“Are you ready?” Ellie asks me.

“As ready as I’ll ever be,” I reply nervously.

“Here we go.” She smiles and starts with a small outline. “How was that?”

“Not as bad as I thought, but give me thirty minutes and I’ll be a crying mess.” I chuckle.

“You’ll be alright, Love.” Spencer kisses me softly and holds my hand.

Spencer does a good job at keeping me calm throughout the tattoo. I don’t think I’d have been able to sit through it all without him by my side. It hurt like a motherf*cker, but the pain was worth it.

“Are you ready for the big reveal?” Ellie asks me as Spencer helps me up.

“Yes. I’m so excited to finally see it done.” I smile and walk over to the full length mirror.

“What do you think?” Ellie asks expectantly.

“Oh my God, I love it! It’s so beautiful.” I smile as I try to hold back my tears. But when Spencer stands by my side and crouches down whilst lifting his shirt up so our tattoos are in line, his evil butterfly and my angelic one, my tears fall freely.

“A match made in heaven or hell, depends on the side.” Spencer chuckles and kisses my head.

“Just a perfect match I’d say.” I sniff.

“Can we do something, Ellie?”

“Sure, what do you have in mind?” Ellie asks him.

“It’s very cheesy, but I was wondering if I could tattoo a small Q and heart on her ring finger and she could do a K and heart on mine.” He asks, blushing.

“Spencer, are you actually blushing?” I tease him, it's not every day that Spencer blushes or shows any hint that he isn't hundred percent confident. If I'm being honest, I'm loving his idea.

“Shut up.” He chuckles and hides his face in my neck.

“That’s so sweet.” Ellie smiles and prepares a new needle.

“What do you think?” Spencer smiles looking at me expectantly.

“I think that’s a pretty sweet idea, my King.” I grin.

“Thank God. I thought you were going to think it was totally ridiculous and forever remind me of this, my Queen.” He chuckles.

“It is very cheesy, but not ridiculous. I love it.” I beam at him.

Ellie cleans my tattoo, put some kind of cream over it and wraps it up before drawing Spencer’s proposed design on our fingers. We proceed with caution and do as she instructs, but tattooing is hard.

The machine is really heavy and the vibrations make it difficult to draw a straight line. We both manage to do a very basic K and Q before asking Ellie to polish them off and tattoo the heart. Even if the end result isn’t ours, we’ll know that we tattooed each other.

I love my life. I love my friends. I love my boyfriend.

Spencer made me love Mondays.

I’ll forever be grateful having him in my life.

I know he’ll never admit it, but really it’s all thanks to Valentine that we’re together. Had he not entered our lives, who knows how long this cat and mouse game would have gone on for?

My name is Haven Lee and I love Mondays, Spencer made me realize how amazing they can be.
