In Spite of the Bosset Life(36)
“Koì, where you at?” I heard Ace screaming my name around the house. I was in my office still with Ace’s shit. I was salty as hell. I started to scramble around the office. I was trying to plot how I was gon be able to get out of this. Ace’s phone, iPad, and laptop was on my desk. I couldn’t hide it. I decided to come clean but first, I was gon try to see if I could get out of this one. After all, I was kinda caught red handed.
“I’m right here,” I said, coming out my office. I shut the door behind me.
“You seen my phone?” asked Ace, looking skeptical. I walked down the hall.
“Nope. Can we talk though? I wanted to talk-”
“What? I really don’t want to. I’m trying to find my phone. I’ll have the papers as soon as my lawyer fax them over,” said Ace. He was looking around and searching his pockets. I needed to get control and get his mind off his stupid phone.
“I don’t want to talk about dat. I wanted to talk about…” I said, getting close to Ace. I kissed his lips and of course, he didn’t resist me. Ace was caught off guard because I hadn’t been close to him. I turned him down every time he tried to get some *.
“Talk to the mutha f*cking mic,” said Ace, putting his hands up and letting me take control. I squatted down and gave him some deadly ass head. I mean I put in some WORK in that damn hallway. “You talk a good talk but I’m not stupid. You forgot who you married. Bring me my phone and the rest of my shit. You act like I don’t have cameras everywhere girl,” said Ace, grabbing my face and talking. I spit out all that cum in my mouth and wiped my mouth. I felt stupid. Ace saw me the whole time taking his shit and looking through it. I knew I shouldn’t had been snooping. “I hoped you found what you was looking for,” said Ace, laughing. He stood at the opposite end of the hall. I rolled my eyes and went to get his shit. I grabbed everything and threw it right on the hallway floor. Ace’s mouth just dropped. I didn’t give no f*cks. His phone, iPad, and laptop was all broken on the hardwood flooring. I started off to go the opposite direction. “Bitch, what the f*ck wrong with you?” asked Ace, inspecting the damage. He stood from the ground and I could see steam coming out his ears. He was ready to knock my head off my f*cking shoulders.
“Dada, wat wrong? Why dis broke?” asked Majesty, walking down the hallway with her thumb in her mouth. She looked at the broken Apple products in amazement. She then looked at her daddy. “Dada, can we watch Frozen?” She didn’t care about the broken electronics as long as she wasn’t getting in trouble for it.
“Majesty, c’mon now!”
“You wanna watch Frozen with me or go with Mommy?” asked Ace, picking up Majesty.
“How about my daughter coming with me,” I said, catching an attitude.
“She not going a damn place. You can go. You not taking her. What you on?” I looked at Ace like he was the dumbest mutha f*cka on earth.
“Watch ya mouth in front of my daughter. Majesty, get down now and go get your clothes on like I said!” Majesty looked confused. She didn’t know what to do. Ace laughed and just walked away, playing with Majesty like nothing was wrong. I quickly ran upstairs to get dressed. I did my hair and got cute. I made sure to brush my teeth too. I went to Majesty’s room and picked out these cute little joggers and a Burberry shirt. I headed downstairs in search of my husband and daughter.
“Ace, gimme my daughter,” I said, now a little cooler. The lights were off in the theatre and Frozen was playing loud and big on the projector. Majesty looked and sat up.
“Ma Ma, you wann watch Frozen witt… wit me and… and DaDa?”
“Majesty, let’s go. I’m gonna be late. Don’t you want to go see Aqua?” I stood twirling my keys. Majesty shook her head no. Ace sat Majesty in the theatre seat and got up. He said something to Majesty and she just smiled. I was hurt my baby wasn’t going with me. That hurt my feelings. She was a momma’s baby but acting different.
“Ace, what you do to my daughter?” He was standing too close, so I stepped back.
“Majesty not going nowhere,” said Ace, like he didn’t care about nothing I was saying.
“I’m her mother. Why are you taking my child away from me! I’m coming back damn! Where da hell you think I’m going?” Majesty was going with me.
“Koì, I’m not saying she can’t go because I’m trying to be conniving towards you. She doesn’t want to go. Did you forget about her going to the hospital? You her mother! You should know she don’t need to be out like that. She sick, what the f*ck wrong with you? Where you going anyway?” asked Ace, looking at my outfit. I thought about it and Majesty did need to stay home. I kissed my daughter and left out the theatre, not saying shit else to my husband. Of course, Ace wasn’t done talking. “Oh, so you gon get all dressed and just leave? Your daughter is sick and just had a seizure!”
“I’ll be back in a few hours. She don’t want me anyway,” I said, getting in the Range. I was trying to hold my tears back.
“Koì, is you serious right now?”
“Ace, I’ll be back. I just need to go.” I pulled away crying. I coached myself to stop crying like a f*cking crybaby. I needed to talk to Nola more than ever. She was calling and I knew that meant she had already made it downtown. I text her and told her I was on my way. All I could think about was Ace. All that shit in his stuff was a slap in my face. I was trying to find my next move but it was pretty clear already. I just needed to get that okay from my sis. I had to get it in person and not over the phone. This was serious.
