In Spite of the Bosset Life(34)
I had already had a head start hitting his ass with the piano chair. I just needed him to hit me and it was ON. I pushed my hair back. With all this fighting, it still hadn’t come out its bun.
“I wasn’t calling you no bitch AIGHT,” spat Ace. He was spitting and his eyes were red. “Koì, you want to fight and I ain’t with the shit! I’m not gon keep telling you to keep yo funky ass hands to yo self! You f*cking crazy yo!”
“Yes yo mutha f*cking ass did and I don’t appreciate it!” I had my hand on my hip, pointing at him looking like a true hoodrat. “I promise, M’Acesyn, you act like the bitch in this relationship! This right here, man, I tell you. Same reason why I’m coo on you and this marriage,” I said, pointing to the water bottle and Plan B box. Ace’s nose flared and he was pissed off. Shidd, I was mad he hit me with a water bottle. I didn’t care if it was a water bottle and it didn’t hurt. He still hit me. “We don’t have to be together. You can f*cking leave me and my daughter the hell alone!”
“You want to get a divorce?” asked Ace, serious as hell.
“Yes I do,” I said, folding my arms.
“Twenty-four hours then, like last time. I’ll have the papers. You just sign them bitches,” said Ace, walking off. “Stupid bitch.”
“Yo momma,” I said right back. He charged at my ass. “What, you mad?” I asked laughing. He just let me get the last word and walked off.
I could tell he was hurt. I wanted him to feel hurt. He hurt me by leaving. I grabbed the bench and straightened up the piano room. My glasses were broken and I was pissed now. They were Versace with real gold on them.
I went to my daughter’s room but she wasn’t in there like I left her. I grew worried but was at ease when I saw her in our room. She was asleep on top of her daddy. I felt like he did that on purpose. Every time we argued, I slept with Majesty in her room. He knew that.
I didn’t turn on the light because I didn’t want to wake her. She had been feeling under the weather all day and had a bad ear infection. Whenever she had those, I hated it. Majesty would stay up all night whining and it wasn’t much I could do for her. I was glad she was actually sleep right now. So, I let my baby sleep. I wanted to pick her up and take her to her room, so I could cuddle and cry with her. I decided to just lay down.
“Bout time you came upstairs. Smoochie sick as hell,” said Ace in a whisper. I had just laid down but my baby had my attention. I got from under the covers as quietly as possible. I didn’t say anything and just checked out my daughter. She was sweating and her hair was sticking to her forehead.
“Sit up,” I said, wanting to see Majesty better so I could feel her forehead. I ignored Ace’s slick as comment. I didn’t have the energy to clown him right now.
“Shhh,” said Ace, rocking Majesty like a newborn. “Majey... she burnin’ up. We need to take her to the hospital,” said Ace, looking at me. I touched my baby’s body and of course, she was hot as hell. I could feel the heat coming off her small body by just being close. Majesty started to whine more and I instantly felt sorry for my sick baby. She reached out for me with soft cries.
“Ace, can you get my Jordans? They in dat House Of Hoops bag,” I said, holding and rocking my baby. Ace quickly got my shoes and helped me put them on as I held our daughter.
“C’mon, you got everything? Akamai is downstairs waiting already. Dr. Edmonds just text me to bring her in asap,” said Ace, trying not to panic. We were just fighting but now we were acting as a team trying to work together for our daughter’s sake. She came first regardless.
“Yeah, I think so. We just need to go. She’s really hot Ace,” I said, wanting Ace to feel her again. He touched her skin then kissed her fatty cheeks. He looked at Majesty and her eyes were low.
“Shit Koì, gimme her,” said Ace, taking her out my arms. I really didn’t need him panicking because that made me uneasy. Something wasn’t right with my baby girl. Tears started coming down my face as I put shoes on my daughter. Ace wiped my tears and ushered me to follow him. Ace quickly got Majesty’s favorite teddy bear.
“What’s wrong with my baby?” Majesty started to moan. Ace cradled Majesty and didn’t say anything. We hurried off to the Escalade.
“Koì, calm down. We gon get her to the hospital,” said Ace, looking at Majesty turn blue. She was my only baby and I didn’t know what to do. I knew she had been sick all day and had an ear infection but what the f*ck was going on now?
“Why my baby just jerked? Ace baby, her lips blue! She just jerked her leg again. What’s going on? Ace, tell me what’s wrong with our daughter!” I was in the back seat flipping out. I didn’t have to tell Akamai to speed up. He sped up breaking all traffic laws.
“I don’t know. Majesty, look at dada baby! You can’t restrain her Koì. You gotta let it pass. I think she having a seizure. We just can’t let her choke,” said Ace, lying her on her side.
“Smoochie Angel, look at Ma Ma,” I said, frowning up and trying not to cry. I just wanted to hold her but Ace wouldn’t let me. She wasn’t responding to either of us. I looked at Ace and he looked like he was paralyzed and in a different world. This went on for a few minutes then Majesty became alert again. We were on S Grand Blvd by now.
