Savage Love (Back Down Devil MC #7)(50)
“Did you hear me?”
Ella looked at Emily. She nodded. “I know. I trust you. I swear. It’s just…”
“It’s different,” Emily said. “We’re strangers. I get it. I know circumstances are a little dangerous too.”
“A little?”
“Nothing is going to happen here,” Emily said. “This place…”
“I know the compound is protected,” Ella said. “What about outside? It’s just me and Miller.”
“Trust me,” Emily said. “I’m sure Miller has it all taken care of. Do you want to live in fear?”
Ella looked at Beck and he wiped bubbles off Ava’s face as she laughed.
“For Beck? Yes. So he doesn’t understand pain.”
“I’m sorry, Ella, but he’s going to understand pain. When he gets old and asks about his father…”
Ella shut her eyes and nodded. “I know.”
“Okay, let’s not get upset right now. You look way too hot right now to cry. I’m serious. Miller is going to lose his mind.”
“He’s going to be counting down the minutes to tear your clothes off,” Mia said with a sly grin.
Ella started to blush. “Stop.”
“Okay, get her out of here,” Ava said. “This is our night with the baby.”
“She’s right,” Mia said and waved a hand. “You have to go.”
“Please…”
“We know what to do,” Emily said. “Trust us. We know how to feed him. How to burp him. How to change him. We have the crib in the room. Nothing is going to happen. I’ll check on him every hour when he’s sleeping.” Emily laughed. “I don’t want to see your shining face until tomorrow morning.”
“And you better smell like sex,” Mia said.
“And look like it,” Ava said.
“What does sex look like?” Ella asked.
“You’ll find out,” Emily said and opened the bathroom door.
Ella left. The door shut and locked. The three women started to fuss over Beck. Ella heard the water splashing and forced herself to walk away and out of the room. She opened the door and Miller stood there, holding a rose. The second Ella saw it, she burst into tears.
“Ah, shit,” Miller said. He wrapped a big arm around her and hugged her. “He’ll be fine for the night.”
It made Ella cry even more that Miller knew why she was emotional. And that he didn’t tell her to suck it up and stop.
Miller slipped a finger under her chin and then wiped a tear off her cheek. “Hey, if you want to stay here, we can. I don't want you uncomfortable.”
“You’d do that for me?” Ella asked.
Miller slid his hand to the small of her back and pulled her tight to his body. “Truthfully? Fuck no. I want you all to myself tonight. I want to f*cking devour you in every way possible. I want to possess you. You’re mine, darling. I’m just trying to pretend to be nice.”
Ella couldn’t remember a time she was so turned on before. In the arms of the biker, staring into his outlaw eyes. She wanted him to possess her. To keep her as his own, have her forever. But she would have to start with tonight.
“Let’s go,” Ella whispered.
Miller kissed her forehead and took her by the hand.
The night then sped right up. As they walked by the bar, everyone shouted and cheered for them. Lifting drinks, calling out, it was like they were getting married. Outside, Miller gave Ella his helmet. She climbed on the back of his ride - just like so many times before - and slid her hands around his body, gripping at his t-shirt. The motorcycle roared between her legs as Miller rode toward the gates. Two prospects opened the gates and shut them behind them as they left.
Ella’s heart raced.
She feared for her life. She feared for her son’s life. She feared for Miller’s life. More than all that, her heart raced because of the intense feelings. She never stopped loving Miller. Not for a single day. That fire never stopped burning and with each mile on the back of his motorcycle, the fire raged more and more.
As the motorcycle sped through Frelen, night lights turned into a night sky and nothing else. They weren’t going to a restaurant it seemed. Ella dug at Miller’s stomach, feeling the hardness of muscle, but what she wanted was to get his attention. To ask what the hell they were doing. Where they were going.
Her answer came a short while later when Miller turned off the main part of the road. Just like the old days, always finding some path or off road way to go. When Miller finally stopped, they were far away from the road, far from the busier part of Frelen, basically out in the middle of nowhere.
“This is it,” Miller said as he climbed off the steel ride. “This is our night, darling.”
“I thought we were going to a restaurant. Getting drinks.”
“Fuck that,” Miller said. “Had one of the guys take care of things.”
To Ella’s shock, there was a box next to a giant rock. He had beer, ice, vodka, and food. He took out a blanket and whipped it open, putting it down. He then pointed up and grinned.
“Look,” he said. “We don’t need some cheap music at a restaurant or a waiter driving us crazy. We have the stars. Like we always had, darling.”
