Turned Out By A Boss(9)

“See that's why I'm pissed. You are always so nonchalant about every f*cking thing, Daryl. You don't get to tell me when I can and can't react. You thought shit was good and that was your bad. See you may be over everything but as for me. Oh, baby, I'm just getting started.” Warned Cree.

It wasn't that he was mad at what she did but more so how she went about it. Anytime him and Cree would end things she would go crazy so this didn't really surprise him. Whenever she felt his attention was no longer on her and he was concentrating on somebody else, she would pull acts like this.

“You had three months, so what's the real reason.”

“This is the real reason. Just get your things and get back to your wife.” She sneered.

As mad at her as he was Daryl knew he caused this his self. It was never in his plans for her and Sherika to cross paths let alone for her and Denim to be best friends. Had he known her and Denim knew each other he wouldn't have even thought to approach Cree.

“Why didn't you tell me you were married?” Cree asked as she walked up to him with tears in her eyes.

Daryl stared at her without an ounce of sympathy. "Cree stop. We already had this conversation and you could stop crying because I don't feel bad. Look what you did to my car."

Rico shook his head as he thought about if he was in Daryl’s shoes. Cree’s ass would've been laid up in somebody's hospital. There was no way he would've let her walk off after looking at the damage she'd caused. All of Daryl’s clothes were sprawled out on the lawn with what appeared to be bleach now decorating it and not to mention his brand new Infiniti Q50 he left in her driveway was now sitting on four flat tires with broken windows and a keyed up the paint job.

“Daryl just leave that shit and come on,” Rico said feeling bad for his boy as he watched him circle the car inspecting the damage.

Getting in the truck, Daryl put his head back and let out an exhausted sigh. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. Honestly, he was happy that Cree felt like she was done with him. He was tired of the back and forth.

Besides he had a wife, he barely showed any attention to because he had been so busy trying to keep Cree's ungrateful ass happy. Knowing how much he's been neglecting Sherika Daryl began to feel terrible. Here he was, her husband, the man that was supposed to cherish the ground she walked on and keep a smile on her face yet, he was doing the complete opposite.

"I need a drink."

Rico

After witnessing the damage Cree had done to Daryl’s things the day before. Rico knew he had to get his shit together before Denim ended up going crazy on him. Waking up bright and early he knew it was time he and Denim had a real conversation about this baby that was due soon without the yelling and fighting.

Getting in the shower, Rico thought about how bad he'd been treating Denim and couldn't help but to regret it. There was a time when he and Denim was inseparable and he couldn't get enough of her, now it was like all they did was argue. Denim use to be his escape from everything, she fulfilled his desires and did what his wife refused to do, but once she got pregnant, his feelings just changed.

Stepping into the room, he quickly dressed trying to be gone before Deena returned from her morning run. Grabbing his keys, he headed to his truck and got in quickly pulling off in route to Denim’s house.

Not really knowing how he was gonna get Denim to cooperate with him. Let alone sit down and have a conversation. Rico was stressing. He knew he was wrong for the way he's been treating her throughout her pregnancy and knew it was time to fix things.

Rico stepped out of his truck and subconsciously looked from left to right checking his surroundings before walking up the walkway. Using his key to unlock the door he was hit with the aroma of French Vanilla as he entered the house. Rico knew Denim wasn't exactly a morning person so it was no doubt in his mind that she was still in the bed sleep.

Heading up the stairs he entered the room and smiled seeing her laid out on her side. With her belly being as big as it was she could barely lay in the fetal position. He watched her sleep for a while before bringing his hand up and back down connecting with her butt hard. Rico laughed at the shocked yet scared expression that sat on Denim’s face as she jumped out of her sleep.

“That's not funny. What are you doing here?” she voices groggily.

Sitting up Denim couldn't help but to take in Rico’s appearance. He looked good in his grey joggers a white tee and all white Buscemi high top leather sneakers. Topped off with his silver rope chain and Rolex. Even when dressed simple he still looked good.

“We're going out. You have 30 minutes to be dressed or that's your ass,” he said walking out the room.

Knowing Rico had no patience what so ever she hurriedly got out of the bed and headed to the bathroom to handle her daily hygiene. Dressed in a black and white sundress with white gladiator sandals. Denim weighed her options of actually going out with Rico. While part of her wanted to tell him to leave and never come back, another was hoping and praying he was stepping up to be the man she and her unborn child both would need.

Denim knew her and Rico would never be able to be in a committed relationship with each other but that didn't mean she didn't want to. Or have hope.

When it came to the extent of their relationship, she never wanted it to go as far as it did. Yes, she didn't like Deena and yes she wanted Rico to herself but never did she think her sleeping with him would produce a baby. Or have her feeling the things she felt towards him.
