Turned Out By A Boss(5)
While most females would have been excited to see their man doing something that he loved. For Deena, it was the exact opposite. She had gon’ through so much bullshit in her marriage because of this club that she actually hated that the thought of expanding it even crossed his mind let alone became a reality. This club was the cause of Rico’s late nights and the neglect she felt at home as his wife. Oh, and you can't forget when you making money and own a business it attracts groupie bitches that just don't know when to quit.
The Capitol was actually the first business Rico ever opened so when it was closed a year ago to undergo construction that was actually the happiest Deena had been. Rico wasn't a workaholic but he loved the club scene and the fact that he owned a club was all the more reason and excuse for his late nights he'd spend out. Claiming it to be work.
“I'm not leaving yet.” he said walking off towards the dance floor to socialize and greet people.
Deena sat back with a visible attitude and watched as women openly flirted with her husband as if he wasn't a married man but what more so pissed her off was seeing that her husband loved the attention from the thirsty hoes.
"Why are you sitting over here with an attitude while these bitches are tryna cling to your man.” She looked up to see her best friend Sherika taking a seat beside her.
“You look cute.” Deena complimented choosing to ignore what Sherika had just said. Tonight was Rico’s re- grand opening and she refused to end her husband’s night with an argument because she let the next bitch put a bug in her ear. Best friend or not.
“I do, don't I?” Sherika said flipping her hair over her shoulder and doing a little dance in her seat to the music. Deena just laughed because it was obvious her friend had gone a little over board with the drinks.
Sherika was dressed in a short olive green dress with the back out and a pair of 5-inch black Jessica Simpson sandals. Sherika didn't have much body but she worked the little she had not to mention with a face as beautiful as hers she didn't need a video model shape. Looking at Sherika, she’d put you in the mind frame of Porsha Williams from the FOX TV show Dish Nation.
“Don't think I'm not gon’ speak on the bullshit I see, and you must know what I'm getting at since you changed the subject.”
“Not now Sherika.”
“If not now than when? You're really gonna let him disrespect you as if you're not here. Come on Deena you know the shit is foul and as your friend I'm telling you that's it's wrong. I understand tonight is his night to shine and you just want him to enjoy his self and party but he should never feel comfortable with another bitch all on him while you're in the same environment as him, let alone as long as he's married to you.” Sherika pushed as they watched Sarai and Rico dance.
Deena thought nothing of it because while people were on the dance floor grinding and practically exchanging bodily fluids. Rico kept it respectful with a safe distance between him and Sarai. Yeah, Sarai was being a little too touchy but Deena just chalked it up to her being yet another bitch that wanted her man and her spot.
“Look you're my best friend and I love you but let's not do this here,” Deena said to her as she picked up a bottle of D’usse and poured herself a drink. She already didn't want to be there and Sherika wasn't making it any better. Sometimes she couldn't understand how the two of them even managed to have a friendship. Let alone be besties. Shockingly they've been friends for going on twelve years.
“If not here then where. Rico treats you like shit but you love him so much that you stay. You are too damn good for him; I mean be for real. Here you are sitting in a bad ass dress showing off your banging ass shape yet he looking at a bitch dressed in ten dollar leggings.” Sherika said causing Deena to roll her eyes.
“I appreciate the concern but just worry about your husband f*cking the next bitch. Me and mines are good.” Deena snapped finally having enough. She wasn't trying to be rude but at times, she wasn't sure if Sherika was a friend or low-key throwing shade.
Walking off Deena left Sherika sitting there hurt. She didn't want to come at her friend like that but it's a time and place for everything. No one wants to hear the I told you so or you could do better while sitting in the middle of a nightclub. It was times like this that she regretted confiding in Sherika when her and Rico was going through their rough patch in their marriage.
Sherika was one of those friends who saw everybody else's wrong doings and pointed out what everyone else's flaws were but could never find her own. For example, here she was telling Deena she shouldn't let Rico disrespect her by talking and dancing with another woman but she failed to mention how her marriage was suffering because her husband had a problem with staying faithful himself. She was so worried about what her friends husband was doing and their relationship issues that she couldn't even tell that her husband was doing just as much as Rico if not more dirt.
"I'm ready to go," Deena said walking up to Rico.
She had side stepped Sarai so that she was now standing in front of her. Her back facing her as she addressed her husband. Rico saw the look on Sarai's face and knew she was seconds from opening her mouth and saying something out of line.
Pulling Deena into a hug, he wrapped his arm around her neck pecking her lips. Before agreeing that it was time to go. The last thing he needed was for the two of them to get into it and Sarai exposes something that happened between the two of them. No matter what he did, he loved his wife and was always willing to spare her feelings to keep her from getting hurt.
