Me and a Boss

Me and a Boss By A.J. Write

Chapter 1

My name is Shawna Thomas and I’ma self-made chick. I’m a 29-year-old woman who has it made. I have my own business, house, and nice car, but I don’t have a man to call my own. The money I make and have let’s me live the life most women dream of, but now I want to enjoy my life with a man and start a family. Now I’ve dated, but none of these so-called men have been worth my time. I’ve dated just about every type of man out there. I just haven’t come across the right one, yet. I’m not looking right now, per se, but I haven’t given up on finding true love.

On top of me trying to find a good man, my mother thought she could set me up with men. I love my mother dearly, but her choice in men for me just didn’t cut it. She keeps sending these square-ass niggas my way. You know, the ones that think so highly of themselves that they don’t see anybody else. The ones who think everybody is beneath them. And then when it comes to women, they think they shouldn’t do anything but be barefoot and pregnant at home. None of them made it past the first date, needless to say. And I was being nice even finishing the date.

Then there’s my best friend in the whole wide world, Shayna B. She tries to set me up with guys all the time. Her choice in men is definitely not my choice. She keeps setting me up with guys from the block—the ones who only have dope dreams and wanna become local celebrities. They’re the ones who are more worried about how they look at the moment than how their future will look if they don’t get out the game early enough—the ones who’re so worried about f*cking these bitches out here who don’t want anything from them but their money or to trap them. I couldn’t deal with these niggas. Oh, and especially the ones who like to wear the ugliest grills with f*cked up teeth. I don't have time for the bullshit.

I can’t lie and say, that the only reason I went on these dates was to keep me out the house. I hate being in the house looking like an old lady. I already have one cat; I don’t need 99 more. I know my biological clock is ticking, but I’m being patient. I believe in my God, and I know that when the right one comes along, he will show his face.

Oh, let me tell you how I look because trust and believe, I’m no ugly chick. I take pride in my looks and physique. Not only that, I happen to get my good looks from my parents, of course. Both sides have a long line of fine-ass people. I’m 5’9”, and I have a caramel complexion with brown hair that stops at the middle of my back when straightened. It’s naturally curly, and I love to wear it that way. I have hazel eyes and eyelashes so long that these chicks hate on the daily. My eyebrows have a natural arch, but I like to keep them neat with weekly appointments to the beauty salon that I frequent. I keep my hands and feet done at all times. I have a beauty mark right above my lip on the right side. I have 36C sized breasts, a very toned stomach and a small waist. My thighs are thick, which I happen to slide into a size twelve. I’ve been a thick girl all my life, and I embrace it. I can mix it up with some sneakers and heels; I am versatile with my style.

************

My name is Sean T a.k.a Boss. I’m a 32-year-old business man that has retired from the street life. I went from selling weed, crack and heroin on the block; to sitting in the back of a trap counting money; to living in a mini mansion collecting money without lifting a finger. I went from living in the projects with my mother, three sisters and one brother to all of us making something of ourselves and getting out the hood. I went from worrying about what name-brand I could buy, sagging my jeans, to wearing a suit and tie. And if I say so myself, I looked good wearing them. I’m 6’2” and chocolate. Not black but chocolate. You know, in between brown and black. Anyway, I don’t care for hair, so I keep my shit cut at all times with my weekly appointments with my personal barber. I have so many waves, every bitch gets seasick just looking at them. I have gray eyes, but I don’t have a clue as to who I inherited them from. I’m the only one in my family who has them. I have thick-ass eyebrows and lips so perfect that these females go crazy over them. I work out on the daily in my home gym and sometimes I like to go to the gym just to get out the house. I have an athletic body with strong-ass arms and twelve abs. My “V” above my dick is so deep you can get lost in it.

I love my family so much I’ll do anything for them. I mean, I am the oldest, so I look out for them all. I spend so much time with them and take care of them so much that I don’t have much time for myself. Every once in awhile, I’m able to entertain myself with a female, but none of them can keep my attention long enough for me to keep them around. Since I’m getting up there in age, my family has been hounding me on finding myself a woman and settling down. Half of my siblings are either married or have kids already. I know they think I’m crazy because I’ve gone from always having a chick to barely being seen with one and I’ve never bought a chick home with me, ever.

“I want the most expensive bottle that you have here. And I want to share it with you. My friends look like they are tired of having me around, and they had replaced me with the models. Mind if I sat here with you?”

“Not at all.”

And with that, she went and bought the most expensive bottle they had. The rules stipulated clearly that the waitresses, as well as the bartenders, weren’t supposed to drink while working. But Kate had a way she could sneak around and get to break a couple of rules.
