Falling Down(40)
"Probably but I really don't want to affirm his assumptions."
"Just call the man," she says, thrusting my phone out at me.
I huff. "Fine."
Lucy: Just wondering if I need to bring anything with me…?
While I wait for a response, I go into my room and choose a simple black sleeveless dress outlined in red. As I'm putting my shoes on, my phone beeps.
Jesse: Yep. I plan on keeping you in my bed tonight, maybe even tomorrow so bring what you need.
Lucy: You're assuming a lot, Jesse.
Jesse: Don't bother fighting it. It's going to happen. You know it and I know it.
Really, what is the point of resisting when I want it as bad as he does? Might as well give in and make my dream come true… multiple times. Good God. Just thinking about it has me squeezing my thighs together.
Lucy: One night won't be enough. I'll pack for three just in case.
Jesse: Three. Nice. I'm looking forward to it. I should be there in ten.
Lucy: *gasp* Are you texting and driving? Stop before you hurt yourself or someone else!
Jesse: Cupcake, I've got a driver tonight. I'm safe. Thank you for worrying though.
Lucy: See you soon.
"You're wearing sexy lingerie, right?" Sera calls out from the living room. Jeez. Jace is here with Ethan. How embarrassing.
"Come look!" I call back.
"Coming," Ethan shouts.
I laugh out loud. "No way, pal!"
"Awe, you're no fun!"
"Sure I am. Ask Jesse how fun I am when I'm through with him."
I hear Ethan and Jace laugh.
"Alright. What do you have on?" Sera asks from the doorway.
"Black lace and garters."
"You're good. Pack extra in case you go somewhere, then seduce him again with the lingerie."
"Already packed."
"Wow, you really are ready for him, aren't you?"
"I am. I've been fantasizing about this for eleven years, Sera. Eleven years."
"Probably not this kind of fantasizing when we were twelve but I get what you mean."
The doorbell rings. Oh boy. There goes my belly. Butterflies.
"I'll get it," Sera sing songs.
Oh boy again. More butterflies swarm when I hear his voice. Jesse. Kingston. Is. In. My. House. If someone had told me this would be possible five years ago, hell even a week ago I'd have told them they were full of shit.
I press a hand to my stomach and take a deep breath. I got this. No problem. Be sexy. Be seductive. Be confident. Another deep breath. With a nod I pick up my weekend suitcase and my purse.
There he stands. Oh my. He looks seriously sexy in his black dress pants, black boots(he's a rocker, I don't think rockers do dress shoes), and a red and black polo shirt. He's dressed very little like Jesse the rockstar and he went out of his way to do this for me. I sigh. I don't want him to think he has to be someone else for our date. But I'm not going to say anything. I don't want to offend him.
"Wow," he says with a wide grin.
I match his grin with one of my own. "Hey. You've seen me all fancied up before."
He nods. "I have, but never for a date with me. That makes this special."
I blush and he chuckles as he steps forward to take my bag. He presses a kiss to my cheek.
"You look beautiful," he whispers against my ear, his breath sending shivers down my spine.
"Have a good time, you two," Sera calls out as she locks the door between the den where Jace and Ethan are and the living area where we are. I hear rattling and I laugh.
"What's going on?"
"She's protecting us from Jace and Ethan."
He grins. "You're a good woman, Sera."
"I know it. Now go before the gorillas pick the lock."
