Craving The Player (Amateurs In Love Book 1)(91)

The view is incredible. You can see the entire city. It’s become my secret spot where I can go to simply hide from the world. But tonight, I guess, it’s the place where I can finally get the closure that I’ve been needing.

I get to the door at that top of the stairs way faster than I expected. And now that I’m here, I want to puke, nerves unlike any I’ve ever known spearing through me. With a deep, shuddered breath, I grip the door handle and twist, half expecting it to be locked and for this to be some cruel prank.

I toy with the buttons on my jacket before opening the door and stepping outside. The wind nips my cheeks as I search for him, my knees threatening to buckle at what I find.

My lungs give out and I gasp for a lifeline, tears blurring my eyes. I stare at the several strings of fairy lights strung from the tall poles scattered along the roof, and the thick flannel blanket resting a few feet in front of me, covered in an array of pizza boxes and tin containers like they’re the most beautiful things that I’ve ever seen. But then I see him—leaning back against the railing, hands shoved in the pockets of a tight pair of blue jeans, and that signature, cocky grin pulling at the dimples in his cheeks—and nearly jolt back at the pressure that builds in my chest.

My battered heart calls out for him, beating at my rib cage like maybe he’ll be able to hear it and come running. Warmth flows through me like molasses, emotion clogging my throat. I take a step forward, and then another, and when he opens his arms out in front of him, staring at me like he loves me, I’m running, colliding with his chest as the dam crumbles and the tears begin to fall.

“Hey there, my little fighter.”

This is not The End.

Taming The Player

(Coming 2022)

Sierra wasn’t expecting him to follow her.

Braden came looking for a second chance.

But it won’t be that easy.

Instead, they’ll have to settle on something different.

Starting over.

The flame of betrayal burns in my chest, singeing the edges of my souls, tarnishing it. My world has been shattered, nothing but a faded memory of what it used to be.

They think that they’ve won. But little do they know it’s not over until we all fall down.

DRAVEN

I fucked up. I let her into our world by turning a blind eye to the consequences just to appease my selfish heart.

Now they know what to do to win. They see our weak spot. They see her. But I won’t let her take what isn’t theirs.

She’s mine—my redemption. And they can’t have her.

Acknowledgments

I don’t even know where to start with this because there are far too many people that I need to thank. This is my third novel that I have written in the span of two years, which may not seem like a lot to some people, but it really does feel like such an accomplishment.

I am so blessed to have such an amazing team of people that I can rely on for each release, and who make my job that much better.

First and foremost, my fiancé, Mitch, thank you for being such a rock for me during the few intense months that it took for me to write this novel. I love you, and appreciate your never-ending fountain of support.

To my PA and sister from another mister, Mia, I couldn’t love you anymore if I tried. Thank you for listening to every rant and frustration, and happy squeal of excitement as I wrote this story. You’re so appreciated.

To my editor, formatter, and graphic designer, THANK YOU. I know that I always say it, but truly, thank you. I have NO idea what I would possibly do without you guys at the ready. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have made it this far without your help.

My street team, beta team, and ARC readers, you might not think that your job is that important in the grand scheme of things, but there are truly no words for how much you help and for how happy I am to have y’all in my corner.

And to my readers, I LOVE YOU. Every book you buy, person you recommend me to, or personal message that you send to me makes all of this so worth it. I’m beyond grateful for each and every one of you.
