Wild Chance (Wild Irish Universe)(10)

“I’m sorry. Okay? He’s my best friend.”

Aedan inhaled deeply and exhaled loudly. “I like control in the bedroom. Not, psycho control, but I’m a little rough and I don’t know if Mona is into that.”

“Maybe you should have a little chat with her before things get that far. You’d be surprised what people are into in the privacy of their lives.”

“Trust me.” Aedan gripped the counter and pushed himself into standing position. “She doesn’t look like the type. She’s a teacher. I could never imagine a teacher being into any of the stuff I am.”

“Let me guess.” Killian rolled his eyes dramatically upward. “Whips and chains…”

“Boy, don’t make me smack you.”

Killian laughed. “I’m only trying to show you what an idiot you’re being. I don’t think any woman alive would run away if you get a little wild in their beds. I mean, sure, they would have a few words to say about it if they weren’t into your kind of fun. But—I think you’re over thinking this too much.”

“I don’t think I am.” He tested the tap forcing water through the lines and into the nearby sink. When it flowed properly, he set the tap in the holder and tossed the tools back into the box. “Sex is a very important part of a relationship. If it’s boring we’re not going to last. It’s been a while since I’ve been around you, Kil. You don’t know what I’m like as an adult.”

“And I get that. But that doesn’t change your core.”

Aedan leaned in. “With the women I’ve dated, they were either into it or not. If they weren’t we ended—fast. But with Mona? We haven’t even kissed. One date with her and I’m thinking things—I mean, I feel like I’d want her all the time, anywhere, anytime—any way.”

“Damn.”

“Yeah. I don’t know. Maybe it’s blue balls.” He slammed the toolbox closed and hefted it back into the holding area. “Maybe I’ve gone too long without.”

“Maybe. Or maybe she’s just the kind of woman who brings it out in you. Kiera told me she’s beautiful.”

“Kiera has a big mouth.”

Killian laughed. “She cares about you. I think she was just happy you were putting yourself out there.”

Aedan grunted.

“Listen, I won’t tell anyone about your appetite. You’ve always worn your heart on your sleeve. They’ll figure it out soon enough. But, a bit of unsolicited advice?”

“Could I stop you?”

Killian smirked. “Not even if you tried.”

“Okay then.”

“The world has changed a lot, you know? We all have our little kinks and quirks when it comes to sex. I’m the last person to judge on what you like in the bedroom and anyone who knows you and loves you won’t either. But, don’t take this woman to your bed unless you know what she’s into.”

“How exactly does one bring that up?” Aedan was genuinely confused. “And I’m over thinking, like you said. We’ve only been on one date. I don’t even know if there’s going to be date number two.”

“Then, why are you thinking about this so hard?”

“Because I want there to be a date number two, and three and four—I want her. Deep down I feel like she’s mine but how does one bring that up to a woman without seeming like a psycho?”

Killian laughed. “That, my friend is the rub.”

“Thank you, William Shakespeare, but you’re not helping.”

“Sorry. Look, you’re adults. Adults talk about grown-up things all the time, like—sex. This shouldn’t be that hard.”

“It’s not like I can just walk up to her and go—hey, Mona, bend over this table and let me spank you right quick—to see her reaction.”

Killian smirked. “Why not?”

“You’re a freak.”

“Pot to kettle?” Killian laughed while heading for the side door leading into the back. “Let me change and I can help you with repairs.”

Aedan groaned.

Chapter Four

In the middle of her second period class, Mona’s phone went off. The class was busy writing their art history test and the buzzing didn’t seem to register with any of her student. As secretly as she could, she checked to see who it was, and her heart soared when she saw Aedan’s name. The torture then came as she couldn’t reply to the message until after the class was over. For an hour and forty-five minutes, she tapped her leg incessantly against the floor beneath the desk. A few times, students called to her to stop.

Then, whenever her legs began shaking, she gripped her thighs beneath the table and squeezed. Finally, the class ended, and she couldn’t get her students out the door fast enough. Alone, she grabbed her phone and scrolled to the message.

Good afternoon, teacher. What would you like to teach me today?

Mona blushed. Her cheeks burned with the thought of having him ask her that in person. She could imagine the deepness of his voice as it rolled over those words. Though she didn’t think there was anything, sexually, she could teach him, Mona knew trying would be fun and no doubt orgasmic for her.
