The Russian Billionaire’s Secret(185)

But all in all, a bad game resulted in their friendship being restored.

Chapter 7

Irresistible

Weeks went by like this, with more jokes and their friendship getting stronger. Liam genuinely took a liking to Cory, and Cory already loved Liam. It took Cory a while to realize that the way he felt for Liam wasn’t just infatuation or lust; it was love. And if that meant Liam’s happiness would come from being in love or hooking up with someone else, Cory was fine with it. They also started talking more, not about things that guys normally do, but about their ideas of life. They started opening up to each other. Liam and Cory had the same ideas, and like Liam had said earlier, if Cory was a girl, Liam would have gone for him. They would have been a perfect match, so it really was a pity that Liam was straight.

When the winter came, Cory fell sick. It was nothing more than a temperature, but Liam attended to him. He even missed a few of his classes just to see that Cory was doing fine. Although Cory insisted that it was nothing unusual, Liam insisted.

“You know, the only unusual thing is you taking care of me like this. Guys don’t do that,” said Cory.

“I am not like other guys, Cory. And I genuinely care about you.”

“I know you do, but you don’t have to do this.”

“I do what I have to do. Rest up!”

Liam found a stability in Cory that he found nowhere else. Slowly he started changing his lifestyle, although he probably didn’t realize it. He didn’t drink as often, certainly stopped over-drinking, and while he didn’t give up his playboy lifestyle, he hooked up with girls less often.

When Cory recovered, Liam asked him to go out with him.

“It’s not a date or anything, just you, me, and a few friends.”

“Sounds good to me,” said Cory.

Cory met Liam’s friends at a small restaurants for lunch. They talked about how Liam talked more about Cory than about the girls he screws, etc. After the lunch, Liam’s friends left.

“What shall we do now, head back?” asked Liam.

“We have the whole day free, we can go roam around the suburbs.”

“There’s not much to see here,” said Liam, “aside from the river and the park, if you are into that sort of stuff.”

“I am into that sort of stuff. Let’s go!”

So Liam acted as Cory’s guide and showed him around the suburbs. They went to the park and walked through the trees. Cory knew about flowers and he told their names to Liam.

“Wow, this is interesting.”

“Yeah,” said Cory.

“I mean I kind of look at these flowers differently now that I know their names, which is weird.”

“It is, and it isn’t. It’s kind of like people, you know,” said Cory, “the way you look at them changes after you learn a little more about them, like their name and their story. They cease to become just another random face for you to judge. They turn into a whole person of their own, which they always were, you just didn’t know it.”

“Yeah, now stop the philosophy,” said Liam.

They sat under an apple tree after the walk. The sun was beginning to set and it reminded Cory of home, of the last sunset he saw there. Liam noticed the look of longing in Cory’s eyes and tried to get his attention.

“Fancy an apple,” he asked.

“I don’t know how to climb trees,” said Cory.

“I can teach you,” he said.

He guided Cory and told him how he could climb a tree, and then Cory got in action. When Cory struggled, initially, at one point Liam grabbed Cory’s ass in his hands to lift him up.

“Wow, that feels nice,” said Liam.

Then he climbed up after Cory and they sat on a thick branch, picking and eating apples.

“You do know we are stealing, right?” said Liam.

“We are?”

“Yeah, we are not allowed to pick apples.”

They smoked up on the tree and then got off.

“Let’s head back,” said Liam.

“Wait, we haven’t seen the river.”

“It’s too dark for it now.”

“Let’s go anyway, it’s still too early to go back.”

They went to the river.

“Let’s go in,” said Cory.

“That’s not really my thing,” said Liam.

“It’s going to be fun, come on.”

“Nope.”

“Okay, just the feet then.”

“Okay…”

They took their shoes off and lowered their feet in the river. The water was cold. Acting on impulse, Liam suddenly took all of his clothes off and jumped into the river.

“Whoa!”

“Come in, Cory boy!”

“Nah, that’s a bit too much for me.”

Liam started splashing water on Cory.

“Come on, Cory boy, you are already wet.”

Cory went behind a tree to take off his clothes and then joined Liam in the water. They splashed water on each other and then smoked another joint while in the water. It felt nice and both of them were relaxed. While smoking the joint, Liam asked Cory if he had ever shotgunned. When Cory said he hadn’t, Liam decided to show it to him.

Liam stood right in front of Cory in the water. He took a puff of the joint, then grabbed Cory’s head and blew in his mouth. Cory’s beautiful skin glistened with water. Liam looked into Cory’s eyes and for a moment, while blowing into his mouth, he almost wanted to kiss him. He was hard for Cory, or maybe he was just horny like he mostly was. He found Cory irresistible.
