The Russian Billionaire’s Secret(182)

“I brought beer. Its super chilled. You can be a little late for class, can’t you?”

Cory decided a beer before class wouldn’t do much harm. Except he was wrong. Liam had smoked up and was totally gone, staring blankly. And Cory had no idea, so he thought Liam was looking into his eyes. Cory saw how handsome Liam’s face was. The sunlight was coming in through the window, straight onto Liam’s face leaving his blue eyes with a green tinge.

Then Liam collapsed on the bed and propped up on his elbow. Cory lay right next to him, staring at his face.

“Dude, you have a really nice bod. You should workout a little harder, you’d get buff in no time.” said Liam, running his finger through Cory’s abs.

Cory, in that moment, realized how hard he had already fallen for Liam. He had always tried to ignore his own attraction towards guys, but Liam had changed the game. Cory had never thought how it would be to be in love with his roommate, and he had never expected how f*cking handsome his roommate was going to turn out to be. He just never regarded the possibility, so it was confusing for him now that he was there, lying in bed, drunk, with his roommate. Liam was probably thinking about something else and smiled, and Cory thought he was smiling at him.

A sudden impulse grabbed Cory and he proceeded to kiss Liam on the mouth.

“What the f*ck, man!” shouted Liam, pushing Cory back.

“I am sorry, I…” Cory was at a loss of words.

“You are gay?!” said Liam, a disgusted expression on his face.

Cory didn’t want to worsen the situation.

“I gotta go back to my class,” said Cory and left immediately.

After classes, Cory dreaded going back to his room. He cursed himself for doing what he had done. Why would Liam be in love with him? He has every girl in the university swooning over him, dying to get in his pants, so why would he choose Cory over them? Liam lingered outside for as long as he could, and a little after midnight he decided to head back.

When he entered his room he noticed something was different, and then immediately spotted it. Liam had pushed the beds apart. He was already sleeping in his bed, so Cory got in his own bed and went to sleep. The next morning, Liam left before Cory woke up.

Cory knew he had deeply unsettled Liam. They were sort of friends and now it was down to nothing. It was probably worse. Definitely worse. And he wanted to make it right, except that Liam was fully ignoring him. Liam always slept in and woke up late, and now he was up and out before Cory.

More than anything, Cory felt lonely. He started thinking about Liam a lot more than he did when he was in front of him. He always found himself thinking about drinking with Liam, Liam accidentally cumming on him, or trying to welcome him, or trying to get him out of the room so he could have sex. In less than a month, they had made a bit too many memories, although they probably did not mean as much to Liam as they did to Cory.

One day Cory ambushed Liam. He skipped his own class to catch Liam while he was in the room. The second Cory entered the room, Liam made an excuse to leave, but Cory barred the door.

“You are not leaving until we have talked,” said Cory standing in front of the door.

“Dude, I have to go,” said Liam without looking at him.

“Liam! I said I am sorry. I didn’t know.”

“You don’t kiss people on the mouth, dude, if you don’t know!”

“I know, I am sorry.”

“Just get out of my way,” he said.

“No, not until I can make this right.”

“Now you are beginning to annoy me, Cory. Don’t make me hit you.”

“Hit me all you want. Let it all out, but don’t ignore me like this.”

“Dude, I am not your boyfriend. I can ignore you all I want.”

“It’s not right, Liam!” said Cory, almost pleading.

“What’s not right was what you did!”

“And was what you did right, shooting your cum all over me while I was sleeping?”

“That was a mistake,” said Liam.

“And how is my mistake different?”

Liam tried to push Cory out of the doorway but he wouldn’t budge, so he grabbed Cory by the collar and threw him on the bed and missed. Cory fell on the floor and hit his head, and Liam left. He got a bruise on his wrist and his head, but it wasn’t too severe. He fixed himself up and returned to his class.

After that day Cory stopped trying as well. He figured it probably wasn’t worth it. It was hard on him, but Liam had closed himself off completely, so it wasn’t like he would’ve gotten something by trying.

Chapter 6

The Awful Game

Almost a month went by with Cory and Liam not talking to each other. Cory was miserable but hid it well, and it is hard to say how Liam felt because he was hardly around. He was not just ignoring Cory, but also practicing hard for the upcoming game. Cory could tell he was practicing hard, because he spotted him in the field a few times over the month, always playing and practicing, doing his best for the match.

Cory had little to no interest in the match. He was not the sporty kind, and he always preferred reading a book to watching a match. He never saw the point of watching the entire game when you can just watch the end or hear the final score from someone else. But when the night of the game arrived, Cory decided he’d rather watch the match than read a book. He wanted to see Liam play and had a good reason and excuse, so Liam wouldn’t think he was being stalked or anything. More than anything, Cory just wanted to go out and support Liam.
