Lost in Paradise (Paradise Club #2)(23)

“I will, I promise.”

“Good. Now go get freshened up, and I’ll come find you tonight,” he says, giving me a wink before jumping back into his golf cart. He beeps the horn and gives me a wave then disappears. I open my door and close it again, falling back against it and letting out a heavy sigh. Urgh, Alex is so fricken perfect.

“Where the hell have you been?” my sister’s voice startles me, making me scream. I clutch my chest as my heart beats uncontrollably. Olivia is sitting there with her, and for some reason, this looks like an intervention of some kind.

“What the hell are you guys doing in my room? Have you been here all day?” I ask.

“No, we got here about ten minutes ago,” my sister states.

“Who was that? Who dropped you off?” Olivia asks.

“We heard the golf cart beep. And if you say no one, I swear to god I’ll throw this champagne at you,” Camryn adds.

“Think I might need a drink then,” I say, walking in and taking a seat on the couch opposite them.

“Looks like you got some color while you were out,” Olivia muses.

“Yeah, I went to the waterfalls. It’s beautiful there,” I explain to them as Camryn hands me a glass of champagne.

“And you just picked up some random?” she asks.

“No. But if you must know, it was Alex.” And as soon as I say his name, I regret it, as the two of them squeal their heads off. “Come on, it’s not that big of a deal,” I tell them.

“I can’t believe you’ve hooked up with someone. You have hooked up with him, haven’t you?” my sister asks. I give her an exhausted ‘yes’ glare, then reiterate it with words. “Yes, he is cute and seems like a cool guy.”

“You’ve met him for like two point five seconds.”

“He’s Nate’s brother, and they seem to get on well, so I’m going to assume he’s cool. Nate would have told me otherwise,” my sister adds as she takes a sip of her drink.

“Hey, I’m angry with you. You sent me that special wake-up call this morning and literally gave me a heart attack.” I point my finger at her.

“Special wake-up call?” Olivia asks.

“Was it good? Did you use it? Tell me you let him finish,” my sister pleads. I roll my eyes at her. “You did. You dirty little bitch, you fucked your host. I bet he’s good, isn’t he?” She throws questions at me one after the other.

“His tongue and cock are magnificent,” I tell her.

Camryn screams. “Yes, I knew it. Fuck, yeah, I’m so fucking proud of you.” As she gives me a high-five, Olivia is staring at me laughing behind her glass of champagne.

“I also booked in a special massage too,” I tell them both, feeling rather confident.

“Who the hell are you?” Camryn states. “Hang on, does that mean you slept with your host and Alex? Please say at the same time?”

“No,” I answer, raising my voice. “But does same day count?”

“Oh my god, I’m having a heart attack,” Camryn screams wildly, clutching her chest.

“Congrats,” Olivia says, raising her glass at me.

“Thanks,” I reply back to her.

“Please tell me you’re going to be sleeping with others. I want you to be the biggest slut on the island,” Camryn tells me.

“Calm down. I think I’ve moved along at warp speed as it is. I don’t think I need to be adding more dicks to my tally.” She doesn’t need to know about what I have planned for tomorrow.

“Fine, I’ll take you screwing your host and Alex. Oh, did you fuck Alex at the waterfall?” my sister asks, now totally crossing so many lines.

“Um, how about you fill me in on where you have been?” I say, changing the subject and turning my attention on to Olivia.

“Wait! What happened?” Camryn asks.

“While you were pretending to not be screwing your client, Olivia and Axel had a full-on blow-up,” I say, filling in my sister.

Camryn’s mouth drops, and she turns her attention to my best friend.

“Yes, last night things were complicated, and then this morning I found out my sister lied and never slept with Axel,” Olivia informs us.

“No fucking way.” Camryn curses as she takes a large gulp of champagne.

“She’s been too busy fucking my fiancé.”

Camryn chokes on her drink upon hearing Olivia’s news.

“I’m sorry, Liv. Not surprised by either of them,” I tell her.

“Yeah, I’m not either. It’s one thing to think it, it’s another thing to hear them together.” Olivia grimaces.

“You didn’t hear them fucking?” my sister asks.

“Ew, no. They were in bed together. Axel called my sister, and Eddie answered the phone,” Olivia says.

“Why was Axel calling Penny?” Camryn asks.

“To show me that my sister is a lying bitch and set up the photo to make it look like she had. She confessed on the phone to Axel that she wanted to hurt me. That she was jealous I was marrying Eddie,” Olivia states.

“Shit, that’s insane,” Camryn says.

I nod in agreement—it’s like something out of Days of Our Lives.
