Lost in Paradise (Paradise Club #2)(22)

Yes. Yes. Yes. I scream as he pushes me over the edge which starts the chain reaction of his own orgasm. Now, it’s his turn for the cave to hear his moans echoing through its empty caverns.

“Fuck,” he curses against my skin.

“You can say that again.”

“Fuck,” he says again which makes me giggle.

The next thing I know, he’s pulling out of me and jumping back into the water, and I’m not far behind him.

We’ve moved outside and are currently lazing in the cabana after ordering food—who knew good sex could make you so hungry.

“What are your plans for the rest of the day?” I ask, genuinely curious, and also to find out if I’ll be jealous if he’s going to be spending it with another woman. There’s a twinge there, but maybe it’s more like I-hope-she’s-not-better-than-me kind of twinge because it’s not like I’m not going to be getting my happy-ending massage from Granger and his friend tomorrow.

“I’m supposed to be catching up with Jasper and Nate for dinner tonight, but who knows if they will show or not,” Alex states as he pops a fry in his mouth.

“Yeah, I’m supposed to be meeting up with Liv and Camryn too.”

“Well, if we both get stood up, then text me. What’s your number?” he asks, pulling out his phone.

He wants my number.

I give it to him, and he sends me a text. My phone beeps beside me, and I check it even though I know it’s from him. He’s written a message to go with the number.

Alex: Hope they stand us up so you have to call me.

I look up and smile as a flutter flicks across my stomach. No, no butterflies, not here. “You’ll have to wait and see,” I reply as I quickly stuff French fries into my mouth to stop the wide grin that wants to be there from falling across my face.

“What’s your plans for tomorrow?” he asks.

Oh, shit! Has he forgotten already that I’ve booked Granger and his friend in for special massages? “Um, yeah, in the morning I have that massage,” I say as I bite my lip nervously.

“That will be fun,” he says, giving me a grin.

Is he not bothered? Of course, not you’re at a sex resort, Ivy. I keep forgetting that fact. Duh.

“You should have one too,” I say.

Right, well, that was a fricken stupid thing to say, Ivy. You idiot.

Alex chuckles at my awkwardness. “Yeah, I’ve had one.” Oh, right, of course, he has. “Ivy, it’s okay,” he says, reaching out placing a hand on my knee. “Like I said earlier, this is a sex resort, and you’re here to have fun and try out this new world as am I. Am I jealous that someone gets to fuck you, hell yeah, I am a man, after all. But will it put me off whatever this is? No.”

Wait! What did he say? Whatever this is? “What do you mean?” I can’t help but ask.

“Us hanging out unless I’ve read the signs wrong,” he adds.

“No, no … I like what we’ve done.”

“Good. I was kind of hoping we could catch up again once we’re back home too,” he explains.

Oh. Huh?

“You do?” I ask, surprised by that statement.

“I like hanging out with you. No pressure … as friends. Plus, you promised me last night you would catch up with my mum.”

I choke on my drink at his comments. “You’re right … I did … say that,” I answer through coughs. “I don’t go back on my promises,” I tell him.

“Good, because I’m relying on this to tide me over in my mum’s good books for the rest of the year.” He chuckles, and his eyes light up.

“Are you really that bad?” I ask.

“Not really, but if I am, I have this ace up my sleeve. It’s my get-out-of-jail-free card. I can say, ‘Remember when I introduced you to your favorite designer, Mum.’ And whoosh … no longer in trouble,” he says, giving me a lazy grin.

“Maybe you should check with me when you need to use it. I think I should have a say when my name is used to get you out of trouble, don’t you think?” I raise a brow at him.

“This is true. Wouldn’t want to ruin your image in my mother’s eyes. Deal! I will double-check with you when I need to use you as my get-out-of-jail-free card. How does that sound?”

“I’m perfectly fine with that.”

“Thanks for today, I had fun,” I tell Alex as he drops me off at my bungalow.

“So did I,” he says in agreement as he walks me to my door. “Don’t forget to call me tonight if your plans fall through.”

“I will, I promise,” I tell him.

“Good. Now come here quickly before anyone sees,” he says, pulling me to him as he kisses me goodbye. “Have fun tomorrow.” He chuckles as he slaps my ass.

“I’ll try,” I joke back, but his face falls.

He becomes all serious for a moment. Then he reaches out and cups my face. “Remember what we talked about by the waterfall today. Enjoy everything this place has to offer. Do not feel guilty, and I will not think any less of you. I want you to have fun.” Then he kisses me again to accentuate his point.
