No Limit (Armed & Dangerous #1)(43)

“I can’t believe you want me to f*ck with your girlfriend,” Kyle whispered. He looked out the door at her and shook his head. “And she’s a redhead too. She’s gonna kick my ass and yours.”

“Good, that’s what I want. This case we’re working on is beyond dangerous. She fought me yesterday, and half-assed it. She’s strong, but I don’t know the extent of her fighting skills. I need to see she can handle herself.”

Tyler slapped Kyle on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, Avery. Andrews likes being the whipping boy, don’t you?”

He grimaced. “Shut the f*ck up. I’m doing this to be helpful. How many times can you say I did that for someone?”

Tyler chuckled. “Not many, but you’re working on it.”

Aylee was about to get off the treadmill. “All right, Andrews, you’re up. And don’t say I didn’t warn you; she’s feisty.”

As soon as he walked off, Tyler bumped me in the shoulder. “Let’s go to my office. We can watch through the window. She won’t see us.”

I followed him down the hall and once inside his room, I got a clear view of Aylee, wiping her head off with a towel. She glanced around the gym, most likely looking for me, but got distracted when Kyle blocked her path. “I wish I could hear what he’s saying.”

Tyler snorted. “This is Andrews we’re talking about. I’m sure he’s saying how he’d like to take her to the back room and f*ck her right in the * or something crude like that.”

“Does that shit actually work for you fighters?”

“Some girls like it dirty. I had my fair share of women before Kacey, who’d f*ck me no matter what I said to them.”

I shook my head and watched as Aylee tried to walk away from Kyle, her jaw and fists clenched. He kept following her with a goofy grin, running his mouth. Tyler and I watched in anticipation, waiting for her to blow.

“Would she really fight a man who outweighs her by a hundred pounds?”

I snorted. “She’d fight with a brick wall; she’s that goddamned stubborn.”

“Then she’d fit in perfectly with our crowd. How long do you think you’ll be in town?”

“Don’t know. Tonight she’s investigating our last suspect. He’s a f*cking douche too. The thought of her going in alone scares the hell out of me. If he’s the one we’re looking for then our time here’ll be short. If he’s not, I don’t know what we’ll do. We can’t stay here forever.”

He put his hand on my shoulder. “You’ll catch them. You’re one of Mason’s best.” That I was, but Aylee was the one doing all the work. She deserved all the credit and then some. “It looks like the shit’s about to hit the fan.”

Aylee’s shouts could be heard through the glass and then out of nowhere her fist flew and connected with Kyle’s face. “Holy shit,” Tyler and I both said simultaneously. But she was nowhere near done. She hit him again and kicked his legs out from under him. By now, everyone in the gym had gathered around to see the show, their eyes bugging out of their heads. Grabbing him around the neck, she squeezed, her own face turning as red as Kyle’s.

“We should probably get out there,” Tyler insisted.

“I think so too.” We took off down the hall and I raced through the doorway. “Aylee, stop!”

“Fuck that,” she growled. “You wouldn’t be saying that if you knew what this disgusting pervert said to me.”

“What did he say?”

Kyle had his hands on her arms and pried them away so he could breathe. “I told her she could slob my knob and then I’d f*ck her in the ass. Chicks love that shit. What’s wrong with that?” He winked at me and Tyler and we both burst out laughing.

Aylee didn’t find it funny and pushed Kyle away, glaring at me. “You’re really going to laugh? Maybe I should take him up on his offer. What would you say then?”

Extending my hand, I helped Kyle up and he slapped me on the shoulder. He turned around and rubbed his neck. “I’d say it wasn’t going to happen. I’m a taken man, sweetheart.” Then to me, he said, “No need to worry about her, bro. She’s ready for any f*cker who tries to mess with her.”

“Oh my God, this was a setup?” she exclaimed, thundering toward me.

I held up my hands. “I had to see what you would do without me around. You kicked his ass, baby. I’m proud of you.”

She pointed an angry finger at me. “Don’t call me baby. I knew I shouldn’t have gone easy on you in the hotel room.”

Kyle chuckled. “What’s stopping you now? I think he deserves payback for what he did today. You can fight it off in the ring.”

“Uh-oh, do I need to get the gloves out?” Tyler asked, waggling his eyebrows.

Aylee lifted her chin defiantly in the air. “Yes.” She brushed past me with a devilish smile on her face. She was ready to fight and I was going to give her one.

“I have to admit, seeing you in the ring was a f*cking turn on,” Jason hollered from the living room.

Giggling, I finished up my makeup and joined him. “So that’s why you attacked me as soon as we got back.”

“Couldn’t help it.” He looked me up and down and sighed. “You look stunning by the way.”
