Craving Tori: White Timber Pack(28)

I turn my head to see Ryan, Caleb, Samuel, Noah, and Issac standing there in shock. I hiss with my fangs out of my mouth, pissed.

“This is your fucking fault, you son of a bitch.” I point at Issac whose mouth drops open.

The she-bear growls and comes at me. She tries to swat me with her paw. I hear my mate growl at the fact there’s someone trying to harm me, but I move quickly, kicking her in the side. I hear a defeating growl from the hall and the bear stops, panting roughly.

“That’s enough,” Issac growls. “How dare you attack my mate,” he hisses at the she-bear. She whines slightly when he says the word mate.

Noah growls deeply in his chest. “Your mate? I don’t think so,” he snarls, pushing his way through the crowd and kneels in front of Kelly’s wolf form. He rubs her head and she whimpers. Issac growls and goes to move forward, but Ryan and Caleb hold him back.

“Stay where you are,” I hiss. “You’ve done enough,” I snarl, my fangs itching to take a chunk out of either one of them.

The she-bear shifts back and she stands. I look and she her lip is bleeding. She glares at me, her nostrils flaring with hate. I take a step forward. “I have no problem killing you where you stand. If you ever, and I mean ever, go near Kelly again, I won’t hesitant snapping your neck from your body.”

The she-bear huffs and attempts to walk past me. I grab her arm and push her against the restroom door in front of everyone. I grip her throat with my hand. “Didn’t I make myself clear?” I growl. She’s gasping for air and I feel a hand on my back. I turn to see Kelly shaking with a blanket wrapped around her. When did she get a blanket?

“I’m fine, Tori. You can let her go,” she mentions, looking down at the ground. I look over to see everyone looking at me. Issac looks at Kelly with regret. He looks like he wants to comfort her, but Noah is behind her holding her close to him. His jaw clenches tightly, almost hard enough to hear his teeth grind.

I squeeze a little tighter before letting the bear go. She moves away and out of the bathroom. My breathing is rough and uneven. Ryan walks over to me and pulls me against him.

“You’re newly turned and you're already taking on bears,” he chuckles lightly.

“She was going to kill Kelly, I couldn’t stand by and let her.” Ryan nods his head in understanding.

“Thank you,” Kelly whispers.

I move away from Ryan and turn to Kelly, giving her a hug. “I’ll do it again in a heartbeat.” I reply.

Kelly smiles.

“I’m going to take Kelly home,” Noah says. Noah leads Kelly out of the bathroom and takes her home.

“Let’s go home, mate. I know you must need to burn some of that energy you just built up from the fight,” Ryan mutters against my ear. My insides heat from his words.

“Let’s go,” I whisper seductively. His eyes widen with lust while a grin spreads across his face. We say bye to everyone and we leave the bar to head home.

Ryan showed me just how much he loved me in more ways than one. I’m so incredibly lucky to have him as my mate. Kelly, on the other hand, got shafted by fate and was given a mate who would never truly cherish her. I just hope everything works out for her. Noah makes her happy and they can have a great life together.

But I have a feeling that it won’t be all flowers and rainbows for those two. Not with Issac around town and always involved. But I swear if that she-bear tries to go over Kelly again, she’ll be in a body bag faster than she can say Grace. No one messes with my friends and gets away with it. Fucking shifter or not!

Epilogue

Two years later…

Tori and I moved into our house about two months after the incident that happened at the bar. She fell in love with the place as soon as she saw it. The tinted UV protected glass on the windows made her burst out into tears when she felt the heat from the sun on her skin.

Tori and I have a baby girl who is a hand full. She’s just turned one. She’s just like her mother, and I feel like I’m out numbered most of the time until Rory, Elizabeth’s son, comes over. Then it’s two against two.

Life couldn’t be any more perfect than it is. Tori’s my life, and so is my daughter.

“Ryan?” I look up at my mate who is standing in front of me.

“Yes, baby?” I ask.

She grins wickedly at me. “I have some news.”

“Oh?” I question.

Tori nods her head. She leans down near my ear. “I’m pregnant.”

“What?” I whisper, unsure I heard her right.

“I’m pregnant. We’re going to have another baby,” she says with a smile spread across her lovely face.

I jump up and grab her, spinning her around. “For real?”

“For real, you're going to be a daddy again,” she whispers against my lips.

“Baby, you’ve just made me the happiest man alive.”

“And you’ve made me the happiest woman alive the day you craved me.”
