Craving Tori: White Timber Pack(25)

I don’t know how long we’ve been in this room but we need to head downstairs in a few minutes. I’m starving and I’m sure Samuel left some blood bags for Tori if she gets hungry. “Ready to head downstairs and get something to eat?” I wince after the words leave my mouth.

Tori smirks at me. “Sure. I can go for something right about now.”

I chuckle, shaking my head.

We head downstairs, Tori walking in front of me. She stops short and I almost plow into her. “What’s wrong?” I mutter.

She gasps before saying anything. “Mom? Dad?” she whispers.

My head snaps up to look at the front door and there her parents stand.

Seeing my parents standing there puts me in a state of shock. I’m sure if I am imagining them or what. My mother gasps and starts to cry as I move closer. My eyes blur with tears. I wrap my arms around my mother and she sobs uncontrollably.

“My baby. You're okay.” My mother sobs against me.

I sniffle and hold her tighter but try to hold back some, so I don’t end up breaking her. “I’m okay,” I whisper back.

My mother lets go of me and my father gives me a teary-eyed smile. “Baby girl, we were so worried,” he says, hugging me.

“I’m sorry,” I whisper. Disappointed that I caused them so much grief in worrying.

My mother huffs.

“Don’t you dare think this is your fault. That little prick, Steve, took you. You didn’t go with him willingly. He kidnapped you,” she says, her tone showing how pissed off she is.

I nod my head.

My father looks up at Ryan and nods. My mother smiles at my mate.

“Oh, Mom, Dad, this is my mate, Ryan.”

“Oh, he’s handsome, isn’t he, Bryan?” my mother says to my father.

My father looks down at my mother and she giggles.

Dad sticks out his hand and Ryan comes forward, taking my fathers hand and shaking it. “Nice to meet you, Ryan.” my father says.

“Nice to meet you, too, sir.”

My father waves his hand. “Don’t call me sir, it makes me feel old. Just call me Bryan.”

Ryan nods.

“Did you both just get in?” I ask.

My father gives a firm nod.

“We just got here. Knocked on the door, but there was no answer so we ended up letting ourselves in. I hope that was okay.”

Ryan nods. “That’s more than okay. I’m surprised we didn’t hear you.”

“How about we go sit in the living room? Would you both like something to drink?” Ryan asks my parents.

They both decline with a shake of their heads but mumble a thank you.

Ryan just finished explaining what happened to me while Steve held me captive to my parents. My father is fuming while my mother looks like she’s ready to murder someone. She’s never looked like this before and it’s kind of scary to be honest.

My mother looks over at me. She bites her lip. “So, you're a vampire now?”

I stiffen, unsure what she’s going to think or say. I nod my head. “Yes, the only way I was able to survive what Steve had done to me was to be turned,” I reply with my head down. Worried they’ll think less of me now.

“Oh, sweetheart. I’m just glad you're here. I don’t know what I would’ve done if you were taken from this world.” My mother sniffles, “You might be a vampire now, but you’re still my daughter and nothing’s going to change that.”

“Thank you, mom,” I croak.

Ryan rubs my back with his hand, knowing how hard it is for me to hear those words come from my mother's mouth. She accepts me as a vampire. My mother looks like she wants to say something, she opens her mouth but then closes it. I look at Ryan before turning my eyes back to my mother.

“What is it?” I ask, curious to see what she was going to say.

My mother shifts on the couch. “Well, are you able to… you know… have babies like this?” she asks.

My eyes widen. I’m unsure how to answer. I don’t know much about being a vampire. I don’t know if we can. I look at Ryan and he can see the panic in my eyes. Just then Samuel comes rushing in with Caleb and Elizabeth in tow.

My mother’s head snaps up to see who it is and she gasps. “Oh Elizabeth, your glowing,” my mother mentions, getting off the couch to walk over to Elizabeth. She gives Elizabeth a hug and then puts her hand on her stomach.

Samuel comes over to me with a concerned look on his face. “What’s wrong?” he asks.

“Umm, my mother asked me a question and I wasn’t sure what the answer was,” I mutter.

Ryan shifts a little beside me, taking my hand in his. “She was asked if babies were possible for us.”

Samuel releases a sigh before placing a smile on his face. “Of course, you're both true mates. She might be a vampire now, but she’ll be able to carry your young. You don’t have nothing to worry about, Tori.”

I nod my head, grateful that I’ll still be able to have Ryan’s babies.

My mother comes closer to us. “Did I just hear that I can have grandbabies?” she asks, her eyes glossy.

“Yes.” I nod my head and chuckle happily.
