Devastated (Anger Management, #1)(51)
“Then how about this?” Hunter suggested in a seductive whisper as he pulled her closer. “We take this slowly and anytime you want to stop, we stop.”
“What if I don’t want to stop?” she asked, because no matter how nervous she was about taking this next step, she’d be lying if she said that she didn’t want to do this.
“Then we don’t stop,” he said, as he reached for her shirt.
---
“Hunter?” Kylie said on a shaky breath as he pushed her hair aside so that he could press a kiss against the side of her neck.
“Yes?” Hunter asked, as he slowly ran his hands down her back, unable to believe just how soft her skin was.
“Y-you don’t have to do that,” she said quietly as he felt a tremble rock her body as he pressed a kiss against the long thin scar that cut across the top of her right shoulder as her grip tightened around his shirt.
“What am I doing?” he asked, as he traced his fingertips down the slope of her back until they found the soft white cotton panties that turned him on more than any piece of lace or silk ever had.
“Making it really hard to focus,” Kylie said, her breath catching as she touched her forehead against his as her hands fisted in his shirt.
Smiling, he slid his hands down and-
“Oh, God,” she gasped on a moan as he slid his hands beneath her panties and cupped her bottom, using his hold to move her against him.
“Do you like that?” Hunter asked, feeling his cock strain against his pants.
“Yes,” she said, licking her lips hungrily with a moan that had his grip tightening on her bottom, his gaze locked with hers as he turned his head so that he could kiss her.
He’d never thought that he’d lose his fucking mind over a kiss before, but after one kiss from Kylie…
He was hooked.
Every day he’d been forced to remind himself to take it slow, afraid that he’d screw this up. She’d said that she had no idea what she was doing, but he had a feeling that she was better at this than him. He didn’t do relationships, had never been interested in anything more than just sex, never even been tempted for all that bullshit, because he didn’t need anyone.
Never had, but God, did he need her.
“Hunter,” she whimpered his name against his lips as she released her hold on his shirt so that she could wrap her arms around him.
He kept moving her against him until he felt her take over, grinding down against him with a slow, tentative roll of her hips. Moaning in approval, he shifted his legs apart to give her better access as he pulled his hands free so that he could do the one thing that he’d been fantasizing about for months.
Touching her.
He’d lost track of how many nights he’d fallen asleep thinking about her, how many times he’d imagined what it would feel like to run his hands over her body, tasting her, and sliding deep inside of her. If he’d thought it was just about sex, he would have taken Ryan up on one of his offers to invite a few women over to keep him company, but he didn’t want anyone else.
He wanted the woman timidly running her hands down his chest. After a slight hesitation, Kylie began unbuttoning his shirt. Brushing his lips against hers one last time, he leaned back as he ran his fingertips down her sides until he had his hands on her thighs where he absently caressed her soft skin as he watched her. With a shy smile, she unbuttoned his shirt while he ran his gaze over her, taking in the way that she worried her bottom lip between her teeth only to lick her lips with a moan as she moved against him.
She was so damn innocent, Hunter thought as he watched the soft blush spread across her cheeks. From what the piece of shit that she’d married said online, he already knew that the asshole hadn’t touched Kylie often. The way that he’d talked about her told him everything that he needed to know.
He hadn’t been able to satisfy Kylie.
Hunter doubted that her ex could satisfy any woman, which was why he had to pay hookers to fuck him. For the right price, they’d tell him whatever he wanted to hear and from what he’d read, they had. He didn’t know what was sadder, paying a woman to fuck him or bragging about it. But he did know one thing, her ex had been a fucking moron.
Kylie was incredibly sweet, beyond fucking kind, and so damn beautiful, Hunter thought as he ran his eyes down her body, taking in the full breasts tipped with dark pink nipples, the soft swell of her belly, and found himself mesmerized as he watched her move on him. It was the most erotic thing he’d ever seen in his life, he thought as Kylie pulled his shirt free so that she could run her hands over him as she leaned back in for a kiss.
When she reached for his belt with trembling hands, he decided that it was time to show her just how much he wanted her.
Chapter 28
“Come here,” Hunter whispered softly, as he ran his hands up her thighs and over her hips until he had his arms wrapped back around her so that he could pick her up and carry her into her room where he laid her down in the middle of her bed.
“O-okay,” Kylie said quietly as she willed her hands to stop trembling as she laid there, but no matter how many times she reminded herself that she’d done this before, they wouldn’t stop.
She was just nervous, she told herself, anxiously licking her lips while she watched Hunter pull his shirt off and toss it aside. Definitely just nervous, she told herself as she folded her arms over her breasts, needing something to do as she tried to remember if she’d been this nervous her first time only to push those memories aside because she didn’t want to think about David right now.
