Unexpected Eva (Triple Trouble #3)(48)
Eva glances my way and for a moment I can’t fucking think straight.
I repeat Eden’s words in my head. Love will find you.
Let it go, Knox.
It’s only been a few days.
Our secret.
Breaking our gaze, Eva moves beside the girls to form a line.
When Eden instructs the voice activated music system to play, “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé booms across the studio.
Before my very eyes, perfectly in sync with one another, the blond trio dance, landing each move from the infamous music video.
My eyes stay firmly on Eva, following her every move in her figure-kissing white-bleached high-waisted jeans and long-sleeved off-the-shoulder black baggy sweatshirt. The music fades away, and the only thing I see and hear is her.
Every flick, twist, spin, and hip shake. She’s the epitome of elegance, precision, and sex on legs.
Hair in a tight, slick bun, her hands roam her body, skimming across the fair skin of her long neck that I’ve now had the pleasure of tasting and touching myself.
The girls whoop and cheer as they immerse themselves in the practiced routine, the faint smiles and looks of determination evident with every hard beat of the music.
Hunter leans over in front of Fraser and shouts over the music to me. “So I hear you paid eighty thousand pounds for dance lessons. With Eva.”
I nod in agreement. “It was for the hospital,” I defend myself. It’s the worst thing I could have said. I sound like a bald-faced liar and all it does is spur them on.
“Yeah, right.” He laughs out loud.
“Keep telling yourself that, Knox,” Fraser joins in, watching Ella the whole time.
Ignoring me, Hunter and Fraser, both face forward and continue a private conversation.
“He’s lying.”
“He is.”
“He’s spellbound.”
“Yup, totally smitten.”
“It’s the dancing.”
“Sure is.”
“He’s…”
“Fucked,” they both say in unison, then grin at each other.
Assholes.
I look back at Eva. Because I can’t stop.
Irritated by her long-sleeved top, in an eye blink, Eva whips it off, revealing a tiny black crop top beneath.
Under the harsh studio lighting, a faint outline of Eva’s nipples emboss the thin fabric. Having spent a record number of naked hours with Eva over two days, I now know the color of those pale-pink nipples. How she likes them to be licked, how hard she likes them to be sucked, and what happens when I bite them, hard.
I have to close my eyes.
“Yup, he’s a goner,” Fraser teases.
“Frat boy style boner,” Hunter says as if I’m not here.
I turn away, holding on to Lewis firmly.
Get a grip, Knox. You’re a fucking wealthy, successful businessman. Controlled. You’re not at high school. Eva is a normal, average, ordinary woman.
I groan to myself.
But she’s not.
She’s extraordinary. Sexy, hip swishing, lean, beautiful, leggy, captivating, blond—a fucking delectable woman.
Pussy piercing.
These two jokers beside me are right.
I’m doomed.
Watching again, the girls part ways, breaking their routine.
Ella beckons Archie up as she dances toward Fraser, flashing her engagement ring.
“I put a ring on it, baby,” Fraser shouts, puffing out his chest. That guy.
“Yeah, you did.” She wiggles her hips, urging Fraser to join her. They dance with Lennox between them, content and happy in their little threesome.
Hunter makes his way over to Eden and shouts something in her ear. Eden grabs Hunter's face and kisses him as she nods her head in agreement. Well, he’s getting it tonight then. They aren’t afraid of showing their public displays of affection, either. I admire that.
I can’t touch Eva in front of them.
I want to.
Eva calls Archie over. “C’mon then, Archie. Let’s do this.” She urges him to dance.
In time to the music, Archie does the most unexpected thing; he break-dances.
Windmilling to begin his routine, he then moves into hip-hop dance moves I have never seen before. Cheering him on, we circle around him, shouting his name. With confidence and ease, he flourishes before my very eyes. His tiny body goes in for a head spin and almost nails it. He saves it by landing on his side on the floor. With elbow bent, he finishes with his head on his hand as the music comes to an abrupt end.
Unable to clap, we boys whoop instead and the girls clap, cheering their delight. I can’t stop smiling.
He’s seven.
Eva must have taught him. I’m so proud and he isn’t even my boy.
“Archie, you’re gonna be a star.” She crouches down and gives him a cuddle and then a high five. His beaming smile dazzles us all.
“Aunty Ella is having you tonight, okay?” Eva tries to catch her breath.
“No swimming, Momma?” Hamish launches himself into her arms.
“Nope. Canceled tonight. Next week. But you’re going to Aunty Ella and Uncle Fraser’s for a sleepover. Mommy is working late this evening, but you get to play with the doggies and the new puppy back at Aunty Ella’s new house. Uncle Fraser is taking you both to school and day care tomorrow. I am picking you up, though.” She kisses his cheek.
