The Drake Unwound Complete Collection (The Drake Series Book 9)

CHAPTER ONE
Thoughts of the delightful Katherine McDermott, my new submissive and rapidly becoming my obsession, was distracting me from taking care of business.
I sat at the Foundation, a document in my hand, and tried to concentrate. Dave Mills, my old friend and manager of the Foundation’s Africa desk, sat across from me, briefing me on the latest projects. Something about a clean water initiative that was tied to better health outcomes for mothers and babies but I couldn’t keep my mind focused on what he was saying. At one point, his lips were moving, but I honestly didn’t hear a word he said.
My mind was occupied elsewhere, particularly on one lovely and disarmingly responsive Kate, whom I couldn’t wait to ravish once I had finished meeting with Dave.
He said something important, for I could tell he was waiting for my response, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember what he asked. I’d been tying Kate up in my mind, imagining her dressed in her black lace garter belt and fishnet hose. Her black pushup bra that made me hard just thinking of how her breasts spilled out over the top. How I’d bind her hands to the headboard, spread her thighs wide with a spreader bar, and blindfold her with a black silk scarf.
How her generous lips would be wet and parted while she waited for my cock.
“Drake…” Dave raised his eyebrows at me, half a grin on his face.
“I’m sorry,” I said and blinked rapidly, trying to pull myself back into the present. “What was your question?”
“Where are you? Or do I even have to ask? Inside the thighs of the lovely Ms. Bennet?”
I frowned and shook my head. “I have so many loose ends to tie off before we can leave for Africa. Sorry…”
He shrugged. “I asked you whether you wanted to fund the clean water campaign as part of the mother-baby program.”
I remembered reading about the project. It was a worthy cause, but there were so many. How could you possibly decide? Every time I turned down one project, I felt bad for denying the people there much-needed funding.
“Yes, by all means, if you think this fits with our new direction, go ahead and draw up the papers. I’ll sign. Was there anything else? I have plans for this afternoon.”
“We just started…”
“How many projects do we have to get through?” I said as I flipped through the file, disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to sneak out and enjoy Kate the way I had been imagining.
“Twenty applications,” Dave said, shaking his head. “Drake, I told you that you couldn’t put this off any longer. Kate will just have to wait.”
He grinned at me and finally, I sighed and resigned myself to concentrate on matters at hand.
It was the least I could do. I was paying Dave’s salary after all…
We talked about the projects for a solid hour, with Dave going through each one before offering his opinion.
I really did pay attention but when I checked my watch, I realized I had to call Kate and let her know I’d be later than planned. I still had to drop by the Corporation to sign some papers. “Let me make a phone call,” I said to Dave. “This will just take a moment, if you don’t mind.”
Dave left me alone in my office and went to the staff room. I took out my cell and pulled up Kate’s number. She answered after the second ring.
"Hi," she said, and I could hear the pleasure in her voice. "I was just going to call you."
"Kate, I'm sorry," I said. "Something came up and things have taken longer than expected. I'm going to have to put our meeting off until later tonight."
"Is everything okay?"
"Everything's fine. Just some business to wrap up before we leave."
"My dad called and wants to take us out to dinner tonight. He said the restaurant was our choice. Do you feel like joining them for dinner? Is there somewhere you'd really like to go?"
I considered. I really wanted to eat her for dinner, but I knew Kate was really going to find it hard to say goodbye to her father for our trip to Kenya. Dinner with Ethan and Elaine would be enjoyable and give Kate more quality time with her father now that the two of them were on better terms.
"Of course," I said. "How about we all go to the Russian Tea Room one last time?"
"Only if you agree that we don't sit in a booth."
I laughed, remembering very fondly the first time I took Kate there. When Dave returned sooner than I thought he would, I kept my voice as quiet as possible. "Don't tempt me, Ms. Bennet. You've got my mind working overtime thinking of ways to enjoy you while we're in public."
"Drake…"
"Katherine," I said, my voice firm. "Hold on a second." I stood and thanked Dave for the meeting and told him I really had to go. He laughed good-naturedly and left my office once more, closing the door behind him.
"Sorry," I said. "I had someone in my office."
"Drake, we could never do anything when my father's there…" she said, although I knew the very idea of me playing with her under the table would arouse her despite her good-girl tendencies. Kate wanted to be debauched. She just wanted someone who loved her to do the debauching. Someone she could trust.
