Sincerely, The Puck Bunny (Totally Pucked #2)(67)

I nod. “I get it. How about you go get ready, relax some, and I’ll see you tonight at seven?”

“It’s a date.”

I need tonight to go perfectly.

Lucky for me, I’m a guy that performs well under pressure, and I have an impeccable attention to detail. Which makes me feel slightly less nervous about surprising Maddison with what I have planned.

I straighten my tie in the mirror of the limo one last time, making sure it’s perfectly in place as well as my cufflinks, before I open the door and step outside.

Is renting a limo for our first official date a bit over the top? Absolutely. Do I give two fucks? Absolutely not. I want this to be the date that Maddison has always dreamed of, and in order to make that happen, I had to pull out all the stops.

Maddison deserves to be worshiped. To have an entire day, hell, an entire weekend, devoted to making her happy.

I check my watch one last time as I stand next to the limo, and at exactly seven o’clock sharp, I see Maddison’s front door open, and when she steps outside, it’s like all the breath from my lungs is sucked out in one quick woosh.

She looks like a fucking angel. Like every dream I’ve ever had come to life.

Her blonde hair cascades in waves down her back with the side pinned above her ear by a small clip, and tonight, she’s wearing makeup, which I’ve learned is rare for her. It causes her eyes to pop with the dramatic black of her eyeshadow, and the dark, deep, red-painted lip.

Fuck, those lips.

I think I groan out loud, but I can’t even be sure because I can’t think about anything other than what it would be like to see those perfect lips wrapped around my cock as she takes me down her throat. Bright red as they circle my length.

I haven’t even made it to her dress, and I’m already ready to rip it from her body and bury myself inside of her. The black dress she’s wearing was made for her. Tight around her ample chest, and tapered at her waist, accentuating her wide hips and delectable ass.

She’s so goddamn beautiful.

“You look incredible, Maddison.”

Truthfully, she looks good enough to eat.

“Thank you, Briggs…You look handsome. I love your tie.”

Even in the dim light, I can see the way her cheeks redden at the praise. God, I can’t wait to praise and worship every inch of her body.

Grinning, I pull her against me and plant a chaste kiss on the corner of her mouth, knowing better than to smear her lipstick.

“I love your dress. It fits you perfectly.”

“It’s actually Holland’s, she let me borrow it. It fit better than I thought since Holland is so tiny.” She averts her eyes, looking down at the black material.

“Hey,” I murmur, using my thumb and forefinger to grasp her chin and bring her eyes to mine, “It looks amazing.”

“Thank you for tonight. I’ve been dying to see what you have planned.”

I knew for a fact that she would love tonight because what I have planned is the exact thing she told me only days ago.

“Well, let’s go before we’re late. Madam.” I hold my hand out to help her into the car. She slides into the back seat, and I file in behind her.

I tuck her against my side, and the entire ride to the restaurant, she nervously picks at her freshly painted nails and chews on her lip.

She has absolutely no idea what I have planned, and I love it.

“Don’t be nervous,” I whisper against her hair.

“I’m not,” she says hoarsely, “I’m not. Okay, I’m a little nervous.”

I laugh. “I know, but don’t be. Trust me.”

A look passes across her face of something I haven’t seen before, and she nods. “I do, Briggs.”

Her words feel heavy, like there’s more meaning behind them, but I don’t press. The rest of the ride, she’s quiet, pensive even, until the limo pulls up at the front of Monteverde, the restaurant I chose for tonight.

“How in the world did you get reservations here?” She whips her head toward me, her wide eyes filled with shock.

Not going to lie, it does good shit to my ego.

I smirk. “Called in a few favors.”

She stutters for a moment, “I-, O-, Wow. The last time Ty tried to get a reservation here, they were booked up for two years. I don’t even know what I’m eating for dinner tomorrow, let alone two years from now. I’m impressed, Wilson.”

“I aim to please, baby.” I retort, teasingly.

I’m glad she’s impressed, because I did have to give the owner season tickets… for the next two years to make this happen and pay a ridiculously stupid amount of money, but I’d do that shit again in a heartbeat, if it meant putting the same smile on her face that’s there now. Anything is worth it to make her smile.

She slides her hand in mine as we stand outside the restaurant, then I pull her to me and drop a kiss to the corner of her lips. “Let’s go, beautiful.”

Hand in hand, we walk into Monteverde to be greeted by a smiling hostess.

“Hi, we’ve got a reservation under Wilson.”

The girl’s eyes widen, and she stutters slightly, “B-briggs Wilson, right?”

I nod, glancing at Maddison who lifts her brow.

“Sure, uh, Mr. Russo said that you’ll have the entire dining room to yourselves tonight.”
