Rebound (Seattle Steelheads #1)(93)

Rolling my eyes, I turned to Geoff. “You know our wedding is going to be wild, right? With, um…” I waved a hand at my teammates.

Geoff laughed. “Yeah, the Steelheads don’t really strike me as the quiet and solemn crowd.”

I snorted. “Uh. No.”

“That’s all right.” He tugged me closer and pressed his lips to mine. “I know what I’m getting into.”

Whatever response I might have had melted away as he kissed me again. Leaning over the rail, I curved my hand behind his neck and let the gentle, tender kiss linger. All around us, there were the sounds of rowdy hockey players, pucks flying, skates scraping on the ice, and all kinds of things I really hoped they didn’t actually say out loud at our wedding. But right here, everything was quiet and perfect.

Behind me, someone scored. I didn’t look to see who it was, because I didn’t care who won the shootout and claimed his spot as my best man.

I was marrying the man I loved. The rest was just details.
