Knot So Perfect Omega (Omega Match #1)(34)

Someone needed to tell me what the hell that meant because I was getting tired of his past being alluded to and no one saying anything about it. I knew it wasn’t their place to tell me, but there were only so many chances the man was going to get.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Rio

B eck was losing his ever-loving mind. We couldn’t just fire our manager and coach right before playoffs. As much as I wanted Brian gone, I also had to be realistic about the entire situation.

We’d fire him in two weeks after winning the championship.

After showering and changing, we went out to the parking lot. We’d come in two separate cars because Kane and Beck were going to volunteer at the food bank we were major donors to.

As much as I loved volunteering there myself, I liked the idea of spending some time with Kayla.

“What do you want to do today?”

It was just past ten in the morning, and we had nothing going on the rest of the day. We were always so busy all the time and it was nice to have a few days of rest.

“Can we go to the mall? The rest of my stuff is going to be delivered later this afternoon, but I want to get a few things and get a gift for Kara.” Kayla sat in the passenger seat next to me and Rylan got in the back. “I have my own credit card.”

Rylan laughed. “If you think we’re letting you pay for anything, you have another thing coming.”

“Yeah, but…” She sighed. “You’re right, you should pay for everything. That’s how it’s supposed to work, right?”

“If you don’t want us to, we won’t.” I pulled out of the parking lot and headed for a mall that was on the way back to our house. It had a variety of high-end and regular stores. It also had my favorite women’s boutique that I planned on taking her to.

“Speak for yourself.” Rylan made a growly huff. Since our time in the pool with Kayla, he’d become somewhat possessive. I hoped it wasn’t going to start causing problems.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a mall during normal hours. Usually, once a month, there was a day we’d all go for two hours of omega-only shopping before the mall opened. It sucked because none of the food places were open.” She looked out the window, her cheek on her fist. “I could really go for a soft pretzel with cheese.”

“You don’t strike me as the mall-going type.” I turned onto the freeway and was pleasantly surprised at how light the traffic was.

“What is the mall-going type?” She looked over at me and then gestured to her jeans and plain Tshirt. “I don’t like super girly things, but I still like to shop. But mainly the reason I like the mall is the food. We’re going to start with pretzels, then after we hit a few shops, we’ll get frozen lemonades and corn dogs, and then for lunch, nothing beats mall Chinese food.” The girl talked about food like we talked about Alphaball.

“I’ll give you a corn dog.” Rylan was in the middle seat and leaned forward. “Can bend you into a pretzel too.”

“Oh, geez.” Kayla laughed and turned in her seat to pinch his cheek. “Good thing you’re cute.”

“You think I’m cute?” I didn’t need to look at Rylan to hear the grin in his voice. Plus, I could feel his happiness through the pack bond. While we didn’t always let our emotions flow freely through it, he wanted me to know how happy he was.

“Cute as a mangy mutt.” I took the off-ramp toward the mall. “We can go anywhere you want, just lead the way.”

“Suck up.” Rylan flicked my arm and laughed.

As I pulled into a parking spot, I became certain that Kayla was just the omega we needed.

AFTER EATING PRETZELS WITH CHEESE, Kayla led us to a map of the mall that she examined for a few minutes before she giggled and grabbed our hands.

The giggle concerned me a bit, but we’d told her we’d go anywhere she wanted to go and we meant it. Pleasing her was all I could think about, and if that meant I sat for an hour and waited for her to try on clothes or look at baubles in a shop, then that was what I’d do.

What I wasn’t expecting was for her to lead us to a sex shop that had a discreet storefront and an actual bouncer at the door. He nodded to us as we entered, not even bothering to check our identification.

“I’m not sure if this is a wise idea.” I was hit with way too many scents and had to breathe through my mouth. “It smells like a nest in here.”

“How do you know what a nest smells like?” She led us straight back to a wall of vibrating dildos.

There wasn’t anyone in the store besides two beta women behind the counter. I could tell they were betas because they didn’t immediately react to us.

“I agree with Rio. You have us. You don’t need dildos or fancy vibrators.” Rylan picked up a pink, flower-shaped toy. “What is this supposed to do exactly?”

“You put it over your clit, and it vibrates in a way to simulate sucking. I have one. It’s amazing.”

She grabbed a toy off the wall. “This one stimulates the clit and G-spot, plus the ass. Perfect for Kara.

I think I’ll get one too. I’ve heard good things about it.”

“Um, no.” I plucked the toy she was grabbing for herself out of her hand and put it back. “If anyone is stimulating any of those things it will be us. Not something someone manufactured to use solo.”
