Justice Falling (Falling #3)(65)

“I love to love you, Camille,” he whispered into my ear. His thrusts quickened, tipping up and slamming home at the edge of each ridged jerk of his hips.

“Oh Nate, it’s always so good. I love you so much, Baby. Oh God…” I whispered against his ear, the orgasm building between my legs fast and furious, spreading pleasure out my limbs, filling me with light, love and extreme pleasure.

“Don’t hold back…give it to me.” He bit down on the spot where my neck met my shoulder, brightening his mark from the other day. Pain shot through me as if lighting a stick of dynamite.

“Baby, now. Come in me now!” I yelled but he covered my words with his lips, softening the high pitched tone.

Nate gripped my hips and pulled me deep. The muscles in his arms tightened and his veins strained against tanned skin as he held onto me, digging into my flesh.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and held the back of his head, sealing our lips as we flew together over the edge into beautiful oblivion. Hot spurts of his essence poured into me in long washes of heat, warming me from the inside, matching the fire that prickled along the surface of my skin.

He held us together for long moments.

“Mom! Nate! I’m ready to get out!” Tanner screamed from the other room. Nate laid his forehead against mine and chuckled as we both tried to catch our breath.

“Perfect timing the lad has. At least we were finished this time.” He pulled out and looked down. His body went completely ridged and his fingers tightened against my hips.

“What’s the matter?” I followed his gaze to his softening penis. It was covered with smears of blood.

“I hurt you, Camille.” He sounded choked up as his eyes widened in horror.

“Baby no. No you didn’t. I was due any day but with our unprotected sex over the last three or four weeks, I wasn’t sure. Now we know.” I looked down, shrugged and hopped off the desk, not wanting him to see me have my mental freak out. Seeing the blood reminded me of my first time with Tyler. That experience tore a hole in my heart. He had roughly taken my virginity, rutted like a beast and then got up to shower, leaving me bleeding and in pain.

Nate’s shoulders slumped as he pulled up his pants.

“I’ll go get Tanner,” he said quietly.

I rushed to our master bath and pulled out the tampons. After washing up and taking care of my womanly needs, I put my mental state back in check and went to help get Tanner ready for bed.

We usually went through Tanner’s routine together. Nate had picked it up and added a few flares of his own, preferring to tackle my son into bed and tickle him until he called for help. Nate was unbelievably good with Tanner. He genuinely seemed to enjoy this new role of father figure.

I watched Nate clothe Tanner in pajamas and tuck him into bed with less exuberance than he had these past two weeks since we’d moved in.

“Baby, I got this. Why don’t you get us a drink?” Nate nodded and I caught a glimpse of something in his eyes. “Hey.” I grabbed his arm. There was something in his eyes I didn’t recognize. “What’s the matter?” I asked.

“Nothing, it’s fine. I’m going to get a drink.” He left the room.

I went through Tanner’s routine quicker than normal, wanting to find out what was going on with the man I loved. I kissed my little man, turned off the light and went to find my big man.

He was on the patio, the sounds of the city all around him. He had a large scotch in his hand and was sipping it. I sat down next to him in the two-seater lounge, sending a silent thank you to London for thinking of ‘couple friendly’ patio furniture.

Snuggling into Nate’s side, I blew out a nervous breath as his arm came around me and pulled me to his side. My knees were up on the lounger, leaning into his thighs. I sat and waited while he drank half of his drink.

“I wanted you to be pregnant” he said.

Those were the last possible words I expected to hear slip from his lips. “But it’s too soon. We just moved in. We are getting over some pretty crazy stuff and trying to learn to live together as a family.”

“That’s just it. If you were pregnant with a wee one, we’d be a family for real. I want that, Camille.” His hand tightened around my shoulder and he turned to look at me. His eyes were soft and so blue I could drown in them. “I want that with you. Marriage, a house, more babies, the whole kit and caboodle.”

I grasped his hand. “And we can have that. Whenever we want. When we’re ready.”

“I don’t want to wait. I’m ready now. I want you as my wife. I want you pregnant with my child and I want to adopt Tanner as my own son. And I want it all yesterday,” he said with the passion I thought he reserved for fighting a court case.

“Baby, it’s too soon.”

“Why? Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t make you mine as soon as possible. Make Tanner mine officially?”

I licked my lips and held his hand tighter. “Well, we’ve only been together for a couple months. Weeks really. It’s all so sudden.”

“When you know what you want, Camille and you feel what’s right, it doesn’t matter how long we’ve had it. We get to have it for the rest of our lives. He sighed. “I brought home the papers to start the adoption of Tanner. The moment Tyler’s rights are officially removed by the state of New York, I want my name on a fresh new birth certificate for our boy.”
