A Chip and a Chair (Seven of Spades, #5)(106)

“Oh no, no, no-”

She shook with extreme gusto, showering him with lake water. As he wiped off his face, she dropped the stick by his chair and gave him a doggy grin, her body swaying with the force of her wagging tail.

Levi threw the stick back toward the lake. Rebel raced after it as Dominic jogged up to the chair, wearing nothing but a pair of drenched swim trunks.

There were few sights Levi enjoyed more than a wet, half-naked Dominic: the glistening sheen of his tanned skin, the water beading along the curves of his thick muscles, and especially the way those trunks left very little to the imagination. He could have been an ancient Roman deity who’d just risen from the lake.

“Your dog got me wet,” Levi said with mock indignation.

“What a shame.” Dominic leaned down, dripping more water all over Levi. “I think she missed a spot.”

He kissed Levi thoroughly, dragging his wet hands up and down Levi’s T-shirt before delving beneath to grope Levi’s bare skin. Levi arched into the touch, tangling a hand in Dominic’s hair and moaning into his mouth.

When Dominic broke the kiss, he cocked his head and gave Levi a considering look. “Nope, that’s not gonna do it.”

He had the same mischievous air about him that Rebel’d had, and Levi pushed him away. “Don’t even think about-”

Dominic scooped Levi out of the chair and began charging toward the pier. Levi put up a token struggle, his shouts of protest broken by his helpless laughter.

With Levi in his arms, Dominic sprinted down the length of the pier and cannonballed into the lake. He released Levi when they hit the water.

Levi shot to the surface, spluttering, and tossed his hair out of his face. “Asshole!” he said, though he was still laughing.

“Hey, you were already wet-”

Levi braced his hands on Dominic’s shoulders and tried to dunk him. Dominic retaliated in kind, and they wrestled with each other, each striving to gain the upper hand but never succeeding for more than a couple of seconds. Inevitably, their scuffling turned into kissing-tricky, because the lake was so deep here that even Dominic’s feet didn’t touch the bottom. Kissing while treading water wasn’t easy.

Then Rebel soared off the end of the pier, landing with an enormous splash that doused them both.

They chased Rebel around in a three-way game of tag, then raced each other out to the lake’s swim raft, where they played a no-holds-barred game of King of the Mountain until they were both panting and lightly bruised. After swimming back to shore, Dominic got out a dog toy that shot tennis balls like a gun, and they took turns shooting the balls for Rebel to retrieve.

An hour later, all three of them were exhausted. Rebel sacked out on the pier, dozing in a patch of sunshine, while Levi and Dominic stretched out on the sandy shore. The house’s southwestern exposure allowed them to bask in the glow of the afternoon sun, and they were close enough to the lake for the water to lap at their feet.

Levi had shed his T-shirt earlier, leaving him in swim trunks. As he caught his breath, he closed his eyes and focused on the moment’s concrete details: the sunlight sinking into his bones, the cool breeze drying the water on his skin, the grit of sand beneath his back, the sounds of Dominic’s heavy breathing and the lake sloshing against the pier supports.

This was as close to perfect as his life had ever come.

Rolling onto his side, he slung a leg over Dominic’s thigh and brushed his lips against Dominic’s chest. Dominic let out a contented sigh, so Levi continued trailing kisses along Dominic’s collarbone and sternum, wriggling down the length of Dominic’s leg as he went.

When he reached Dominic’s groin, he tugged at the trunks to free Dominic’s cock, which was beginning to stir. He buried his face into the hollow of Dominic’s hip and inhaled deeply, groaning at the arousal triggered by the scent.

Still straddling Dominic’s leg, Levi nudged his nose against Dominic’s balls, bathed them with his tongue, and caressed the swelling shaft with his cheek before taking Dominic into his mouth.

Without a full erection, Dominic’s cock was much easier to handle. Levi proceeded gently, mindful of the suction and generous with the use of his tongue. As Dominic stiffened in his mouth, he sucked harder, relaxing his jaw to welcome Dominic into his throat.

Dominic cupped the back of Levi’s head with one hand-not pushing or pulling the way he liked Levi to do when their positions were reversed, but simply creating another point of connection. Levi moaned, rocking his hips to rub himself off on Dominic’s leg while blowing him hungrily.

Levi didn’t stop until his jaw was aching and Dominic’s cock was straining fit to burst. He pulled off, scrubbed a hand over his mouth, and moved to straddle Dominic’s hips instead so he could seize a kiss. Dominic responded eagerly, plunging both hands down the back of Levi’s trunks to squeeze his ass.

The strength in those grasping, kneading hands drove Levi crazy. He bit Dominic’s neck; Dominic gasped and bucked underneath him.

“Take these off before I rip them off you,” Dominic growled, yanking at Levi’s trunks.

Levi shifted to the side and stripped out of them. Dominic did the same, kicking his trunks into the edge of the lake, and Levi climbed back on top.

This time, he lay flat and undulated against Dominic, kissing and nipping and raking his fingers over Dominic’s skin. Dominic’s hands eagerly roved Levi’s body, sweeping up and down his sides, grabbing his ass, carding through his hair.
