this book is dedicated to love.

as angry as I’ve been, as hurt, there is only one thing that’s important.

and forgiveness is always an option.

unless you’re a rapist, then fuck you.

Author's Note

***Possible Spoilers***

Mayhem at Prescott High is a reverse harem, high school, enemies-to-lovers/love hate/bully romance. What does that mean exactly? It means our female main character, Bernadette Blackbird, will end up with at least three love interests by the end of the series. It also means that for a portion of this book, the love interests are total assholes; there are also flashbacks of past incidents involving bullying. This book in no way condones bullying, nor does it romanticize it. If the love interests in this story want to win the main character over, they’ll have to earn it.

Might be hard though, considering the Havoc Boys are dicks.

If you’ve read my other three high school romance series—Rich Boys of Burberry Prep, Devils’ Day Party, or Adamson All-Boys Academy—then just know this one is a bit more intense, and character growth/redemption are needed more than ever. Stick with us. It’s fairly similar to I Was Born Ruined (the first book in my Death by Daybreak Motorcycle Club series).

Any kissing/sexual scenes featuring Bernie are consensual. This book might be about high school students, but it is not what I would consider young adult. The characters are brutal, the emotions real, the f-word in prolific use. There’s the aftermath of a suicide, mentions of past abuse, sexual situations, and other adult scenarios.

None of the main characters is under the age of seventeen. This series will have a happy ending in the final book.

Reading Order:

Note: This series was originally intended to be a trilogy, but upon writing the third book, I realized there was no way to fit in the dark, delicious storyline that these characters deserved. These are extremely long books, with the first being 118,000 words, the second 126,000 words, and the third 117,000 words. The last two will likely be even longer. I hope you enjoy them, and apologies in advance if this is upsetting; it was truly an artistic decision because these damn Havoc Boys have way too much story left to tell.

Vic’s hands are hot as he grabs my pelvis in inked fingers, thrusting into me with deep, long strokes, sweat beading on the glorious lines of his chest and trailing down to the spot where our bodies are inextricably joined together.

“Oh, fuck, Bernie,” he groans, throwing his head back, a glorious dark king trapped between my thighs. I own him, just as he owns me. It’s a give-and-take sort of situation, neither of us really willing to accept that we’re equals just yet.

My fingers dig into the sheets beneath me as I writhe under his heavy body, my skin hot and electrified from days of nearly nonstop fucking. We’re too into each other, me and Vic. When we’re together, it’s hard to remember that the other Havoc Boys are in the hotel, too.

I throw my head back, biting my lower lip as a violent orgasm takes over me, making my body quiver and spasm with unadulterated pleasure. It feels so good, it must be sinful somehow. Nothing this wonderful comes without a hefty price.

Victor comes inside of me with a bestial growling of his own, pumping his hips so hard that he’s probably bruising me as he slams our bodies together. When he collapses beside me with a groan and a sigh, I can feel his hot cum between my legs.

He hates condoms. So do I. We’re going to get into serious trouble together.

There’s a pounding at the door that makes Victor scowl, but does quite the opposite to me. I smile and my heart flip-flops in my chest as I hear Hael call out from the hallway.

“Are you two seriously fucking again?” he asks as I sit up, my blond hair tangled and greasy from so much time spent in bed. I keep trying to shower, but I never make it as far as actually getting to wash my hair before Victor appears, hands soapy and hot as they slide over my breasts.

I shudder as he stands up and storms over to the door, buck naked, his dick still wet with my pleasure.

“What part of honeymoon do you not fucking understand?” he snarls, raking his fingers through his purple-dark hair. “What do you want, Hael?”

Hael raises a reddish-brown eyebrow and then sweeps into the room like he was invited, pushing past his naked bestie to examine the view from our upstairs patio. His sunglasses are pushed up into his red hair, his face open and inviting but also, drowning in cocky bullshit.

He leans his elbows on the banister and looks out at the view of the beach.

“You shouldn’t leave this door open while you’re screwing. Oscar and I could hear Bernadette screaming from our room.” Hael chuckles, like he thinks he’s so damn clever.
