Safe with Me (With Me in Seattle, #5)(14)

“No! No, no, no! No orgasm talk tonight.”

“I could talk about orgasms,” Mark offers.

“No! I’m serious.” I glare about the room to all of the women. Any more talk about sex or orgasms tonight will be the end of me.

“Okay guys, we’ll discuss the O during girls night.” Sam smiles sweetly at me and I could kiss her.

“How are the living arrangements working out?” Matt asks as I sit back down.

“Fine.” I shrug and take a sip of my now warm beer.

“He’s nice to the girls,” Brynna replies softly and offers me a warm smile, and for the first time in hours, days, my stomach settles. I grin down at her and rest my hand on her knee.

“They’re easy to be nice to.”

“No kid talk,” Stacy announces. “We agreed. We’re pretending we’re young with no responsibilities.”

Isaac kisses her cheek and wraps an arm around his wife.

“I am young with no responsibilities,” Mark reminds us. “I recommend it.”

“Right, ‘cause you hate kids,” Sam waves her youngest brother off. “You can’t stand holding Livie.”

“I love her. And then she goes home and I go find a warm body for the night.” He winks at his sister smugly.

Sounds like Mark and I used to have a lot in common.

Now the idea of going out to find a quick lay makes me sick to my stomach.

Brynna’s small hand covers my own on her knee as conversation continues to swirl around us, the girls laughing and teasing us guys.

I f*cking love my family. They are my best friends, and Brynna is a part of this, not just because she’s Stacy’s cousin, but because she’s become one of us.

I’ll be damned if I’ll screw this up for her. I’m too f*cked up for anything long-term, and she deserves nothing less.

“Shit, now I want chocolate,” Brynna mutters and bites her luscious lip.

I want to bite that lip.

“Do you have chocolate?” Jules asks Natalie.

“I live here, girls, and I’m pregnant. Of course there’s chocolate! Follow me!”

All of the girls jump up eagerly and follow Nat into the kitchen.

“What is it about chocolate?” Nate asks and crosses his arms over his chest as he watches his wife stumble about Nat’s kitchen.

“It’s like crack to women, man.” Matt checks his phone quickly and then shoves it back in his pocket.

“We have chocolate ice-cream, kisses, brownies and whipped cream.”

I glance over at Luke and grin. He’s got the goofiest smile on his face as he watches his wife disperse the chocolate amongst the women.

He’s turned into such a *.

And why the f*ck am I just a little jealous?

“I am so in love with you right now,” Jules announces to Nat, “I want to lay you out on this countertop and eat this shit off of you.”

“Don’t mind us, we’ll just watch,” Nate calls out, earning a jab in the ribs from Matt.

“Dude,” I exclaim, my eyes wide and hands out as if to say, “What the f*ck?”

Nate just grins back at me smugly. “Not my sisters,” he reminds me.

Fucker.

“Oh my God, so good,” Bryn moans as she leans that perfect ass against the counter top and chews a bite of brownie.

Damn, that’s what she’ll sound like when I’m inside her.

I drop my face to my hands and scrub hard.

“I wish I had your boobs,” I hear Sam announce and raise my head to see who she’s talking to.

Of course, she’s talking to Bryn.

“Right,” she smirks and takes another bite of brownie.

“Dude, I do!” And just like that, Sam saunters across the room and cups Brynna’s tit in her palm. “See? You have the perfect boobs. Stace, have you felt her boobs?”

Just kill me. Put a bullet in my head and end the agony.

“Oh yeah,” Stacy waves her off. “She has great tits.”

She has amazing tits.

“I wanna feel!” Jules bounces over and joins in.

“Give me more chocolate and you can touch all you want.” Brynna laughs and then glances over at me. “This is the most action I’ve had in months.”

“Motherf*ckingsonofawhore.” I grumble.

“Is Brynna single?” Mark asks Will.

“Keep your f*cking hands off her,” I growl at him before I know what’s coming out of my mouth.

“Hey,” he holds his hands up in surrender and laughs. “It was just an innocent question.”

As the girls all quietly gossip and occasionally look our way, giving away the fact that they are most likely talking about us, Matt leans in and murmurs quietly, “What are you doing, man?”

“Don’t worry about it,” I respond and shake my head.

“You need to think long and hard about this. Brynna is special.”

“You think I don’t know that?” I laugh humorlessly and shake my head again, then look my older brother square in the eye. “She deserves much more than anything I can give her.”

“I didn’t say that.” Matt’s hands and jaw clench in frustration. “Just think about it before you start something.”
