Safe with Me (With Me in Seattle, #5)(12)

The girls are freaking hilarious, and I pray with all my heart and soul that they don’t start their orgasm talk bullshit.

If I have to sit here and listen to Bryn talk about getting off I’ll lose my f*cking mind.

“This is so f*cking funny,” Jules laughs.

“I know what it is,” Will murmurs and grins down at Meg and runs his hand down her back to her hip. “Although yours isn’t hairy.”

Fuck me. I wonder if Bryn’s is hairy.

“Yuck. Stop it,” Sam scolds him with a scowl.

“What?” Will asks.

“For the love of all that’s holy, Nat, stop fraternizing with the enemy!” Jules exclaims.

As per their usual, Luke and Nat are making out.

The man can’t stop kissing the shit out of that woman. And now they have a second baby on the way.

I couldn’t be happier for her. She deserves every happiness in the world. Luke is awesome to her.

“I’m married to him, Jules. He’s hardly the enemy.”

“Tonight he is. Girls against guys. Get your sexy ass over here with me.” Jules scoots to the side, making room for Nat to join her.

“Are you going to kiss me?” Nat asks.

“After one more drink, yes.”

“Definitely go over there with her,” Nate quickly jumps in.

I scowl over at him.

Maybe McKenna has to die after all. Jules will get over it. Eventually.

Probably.

“Uh, they’re our sisters, man.” Matt reminds him with a frown.

“They’re not my sisters,” Nate responds.

I growl in my throat, ready to choke the f*ck out of him with my bare hands.

“It’s a coconut, you nasty people!” Jules yells and passes the cards down to Samantha.

I tune out the next question, aware of Brynna’s thigh pressed against mine, how her hair smells, how her giggle makes my stomach clench in awareness.

If I keep this up, I’ll have to have Matt come stay with her. I’m of no use to her if all I can think about is getting in her pants.

“You are all over-sexed.” Samantha announces.

“Not all of us,” Brynna pouts and scowls up at me.

Matt’s head whips around and his eyes narrow on me.

Fuck.

“Don’t start,” I warn her, my voice low and hard. She crosses her arms over her black sweater, pulling it tight over her breasts and my cock stirs.

She’s wearing a gray skirt that flows to her knees and mid-calf black f*ck-me boots.

“What is it Sam?” Nat asks.

“It’s gum.”

“Here’s one!” Will pulls his card from the Dirty Minds game box and laughs. “You stick your poles inside me, you tie me down to get me up and I get wet before you do.”

I’m going to kill all of them.

“I like the tie me down talk, you know,” Sam reminds us all, referring to her loud and explicit description of her sexual preferences after Jules’ bachelorette party.

I didn’t think I would survive that damn ride home.

Matt chokes on his beer as the others laugh at her. Leo stares down at her, dumbfounded.

“Seriously.”

“Sure.” Sam shrugs.

“It’s a tent, people!” Will passes the box along.

“I haven’t been wet in a while.” Brynna announces.

Correction: I’m just going to kill her.

“How many drinks have you had?” Sam asks her.

“Too many,” I respond for her. “Excuse us, we need to talk.” I grip her arm in my hand and lead her out of the room, down the hallway that runs past the kitchen to Luke’s office and slam the door behind us.

“What the f*ck are you trying to do?” I ask her angrily, caging her in at the door. My palms are flat against the wood at either side of her head, and in the heels of her hot as hell boots, she’s almost my height.

And f*ck if that doesn’t also just turn me the hell on.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she responds, meeting my gaze head-on.

“Bullshit.” I can’t help it. God help me, but I can’t help but touch her. I lean in and rub my nose against hers, enjoying the way her eyes flutter closed.

“What do you want from me?” I whisper as my hands sink into her soft hair.

“I don’t want anything from you,” she answers and opens her eyes, pinning me in her chocolate brown gaze. “That’s just it, Caleb. I just want you.”

I pull my lips up and down the soft skin of her throat. Damn, she smells so f*cking good. I grip her shoulders in my hands with a growl and spin us around, push her to a leather chaise lounge sitting in the corner and guide her down on it, sinking to my knees before her.

“What are you doing?” she asks with wide eyes.

“How long has it been, sweetheart?” I ask her.

“How long has what been?” She shakes her head and frowns, as though she’s trying to clear her fuzzy head.

“How long has it been since someone made you come?”

She stills, her hands gripped onto my shoulders, knees spread so I can kneel between them, and watches me carefully.

“Why?” she finally whispers.

“I thought this is what you wanted,” I respond and raise up on my knees so our faces are level. I grip her hips in my hands and pull her closer to the edge of the seat. “I can smell how turned on you are.”
