Twice, when she was fourteen and had just become a part of the church, she was sexually abused by an older man in Scientology. Because she failed to report the incidents of abuse to her auditor, after her abuser had confessed them, she was consigned to manual labor. Her abuser later became an Ethics Officer in the church.
