Two Bar Mitzvahs (No Weddings #3)(79)
As if sensing the gravity of my thoughts, he paused in his hot trail of kisses and gazed across my body, into my eyes.
“I meant what I said earlier, Hannah. It’s not about the sex for me. No matter how wild we get, or how much I tease, what we do sexually will always be about the deeper connection between us.”
Warmth spread in my chest and I smiled. “I feel the same, Cade. You are to me what no one else on Earth ever has been, or ever will be.”
For a few beats, we held each other’s gazes.
But the moment for action had come, and I couldn’t stand to wait any longer.
“You plan on only using the frosting?”
He blinked. “What?”
I smiled, enjoying his sudden confusion. “You teased me for months about honey, chocolate sauce, and caramel.” I pointed to the red-and-white can. “Whipped cream. There is a brand new can of whipped cream, and you grab only the bowl of frosting?”
“This is my show.” He pointed at the lineup of condiments he’d moved earlier to the counter beside the stove. “That is my arsenal of pleasure to use how and when I see fit. And I will not be mixing them.”
I arched a brow, trying not to laugh at his adorable OCD-ness. “Yes, sir.”
He chuckled under his breath. “There’s a good girl.”
To my surprise, instead of returning his attention to my inner thigh he grabbed my right hip and turned me to the side. Seconds later, a sharp sting fired through my ass cheek.
I gasped in shock, twisting toward him.
He smirked. “I will however, mix up whatever tools I choose to use.”
Soothing fingers brushed across my throbbing skin as he rolled me back over onto the counter. But as the slow burn eased from my skin, it traveled between my thighs, settling into a delicious ache.
His eyes searched mine, and an unruly part of me couldn’t decide whether to be disobedient again, or let him take the reins.
“Do you trust me?” He put the spatula back down onto the counter.
I held his intense gaze, my heart melting all over again. “With all that I am.”
“Then lie back, Maestro. Let me love you…with all that I am.”

Stone, what in the world could I say here to cover the depth of my gratitude to you? Not enough. But I will say that I’m so glad we took a wild idea over pizza out one night and turned it into a labor of love and laughter. I’d shout out some of the hilarious moments to make you laugh, but I have a feeling you’re already thinking about them…and smiling.
Kat…Wait, what? Is this like wedding vows? You know what you mean to me. The journey. The love. The laughter. Squirrel!
