Steal the Night (Thieves #5)(68)

I felt a wild magic hit me, and I came again, crying out as a wave of heat rolled over me.

“What the hell is that?” Danny asked, his eyes wide with wonder. I could tell he was feeding off the lust magic, and it was doing amazing things to him. His body was flushed and his skin had a sweet sheen of sweat.

“I think we have a visitor, Danny.” A great joy overtook me because I recognized that magic. I’d felt it on the night I married my faery prince.

“He’s here,” Dev said as he pounded himself in, holding nothing back. He knew nothing hurt when that magic was riding me. He could f*ck me as hard as he wanted to and I would just beg him for more. The fertility god, Bris, had reintegrated, and Dev was an ascended god once more. It had happened far faster than anyone in Faery could have imagined, but Bris fed off emotion and love, and we were full of both. “He’s weak, but he’s with me again. It feels so good to have him back. I’m going to come. Goddess, I’m going to come hard. I can’t hold it back. Bite her now.”

I felt the first hot wash of Dev’s release and Daniel bit down. I was penetrated by Dev’s cock and Danny’s cock and fangs and I screamed as I came, my sight surrendering to little starbursts in my eyes. I shook and tried to figure out which way to shove myself so I could get more, but any way I went was a new high. I bucked and convulsed with pleasure, and just when I thought I couldn’t handle another second, Daniel shoved his hand between us and pinched my clit and I couldn’t think anymore.

Daniel released the vein in my neck as his hips jerked up, and I felt him lose that control of his as he groaned and f*cked me as hard as he could. He bucked up, pulling my hips down even as I felt Dev collapse against my back, shoving me closer to my husband. Daniel swelled inside me and came as his lips found mine. He moaned against my mouth as his hips ground out the last of his semen.

I rested my head on Daniel’s chest and felt Dev softly kissing my shoulders. I should have felt suffocated and sore, but I was jubilant. I felt victorious. Dev rolled off my back and pulled me with him. I landed in the safe cage of his arms.

“Hello, my goddess,” I heard a soft voice say.

“Hello, My Lord,” I replied, looking into eyes that didn’t belong to Dev. These eyes were emerald with not a hint of white. The Irish fertility god looked tired but so pleased to be with us once more. It was difficult to believe I’d been afraid of him the first time we had met. Now I was thrilled to see the being willing to give up his corporeal life to save my vampire. He’d defended me on several occasions and proven himself a great asset for my faery prince. He occupied Dev’s body, strengthening and refining the magic they both shared. I reached up and touched that face I knew so well. “It’s a pleasure to see you again.”

He leaned over and kissed me and I let his languid, addictive magic flow over me. It was weaker than it had been the first time, but I enjoyed the feeling all the same. He deepened the kiss and let his tongue dance lazily around mine while his hands moved across my skin. “Did the vampire hurt you again? I was unable to do anything but stay close to my host until this evening.”

“He didn’t get his hands on her again, thanks to you,” Daniel said and I saw the gratitude on his face. He knew how much this would mean to Dev. Daniel knew how much Dev would enjoy rubbing this in Declan’s face. “We’re on the run, though. You have impeccable timing because Devinshea will need your strength. You know what we’re going into.”

“I do, Daniel, and I’m glad to see you have recovered from the Death Lord’s use of you,” Bris said. “But tonight is not for politics. My host is very insistent on that. He loves you both. He cannot imagine his life without you. His passion for his goddess and his need for Daniel, they are what brought me back. I’m eager to get this war of yours over with. My goddess and I have rituals we owe the Unseelie. As for the Seelie, they can…I believe the term Devinshea is urging me to use is suck it. I’m not sure I understand.”

Daniel laughed and rolled me onto my back. I was comfortable between the two of them. My body was happy and well used. “I’ll explain urban lingo to you later, Bris. How about you lend me some of your mojo? I’m not ready to be done with our goddess or your host yet.”

Bris grinned and I felt a warm pulse from his body. I sighed as it hit me, and I felt myself warming up all over again. “My host and I are in perfect agreement with you, Daniel. She has not passed out yet. We must work harder.”

“Agreed,” Daniel said to his partner with a decadent smile on his face. “But this time we change positions.”

Yep, I would be sleeping in tomorrow.

Chapter Seventeen

A hand snaked under the covers and I felt my ankles, first one and then the other, trapped by strong hands as the intruder began to pull me out of my soft, warm cocoon. Dev shifted in his sleep and I felt Danny move as I was being pulled away from them. I was halfway down the big bed before I thought to fight against whoever was idiotic enough to try to kidnap me from in between my husbands—who should really be way more defensive about me being taken away from them. They seemed more concerned with not having their sleep disturbed.

I clawed at the sheets as my kidnapper pulled. I was lying on my stomach and tried to kick out, but he had me firmly in his hands. “Danny, help me.”
