The Forsaken(58)

The Mistress turned, giving him her full attention. The power that radiated from her covered form caused the hairs on his body to stand on end.

“Shea is your intended whether thee like it or not.

The thing with that statement was Ash liked it way too much and that was never a good thing.

“These Earth-born angels could do with a demon training them. Think on this.”

Ash had been doing just that and wondered not for the first time if the Mistress was reading him. He prayed not.

She took a step back from him and then said, “As it was foretold, it shall be,” disappearing on the last word of her sentence.

Ash laughed thinking she was as dramatic as his father but he also thought, For our sakes, I hope you’re wrong.

Ash knew firsthand that a war was about to be unleashed on the heavenly gates.

If those gates fell, they would all be doomed.

About the Author

I call Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada home and have a beautiful view of the Bedford Basin. I grew up in Oyster Pond, Jeddore, which I confess shaped a lot of my writing. I love writing nitty gritty young adult, and alternative contemporary paranormal stories. A graduate of Dalhousie University, Halifax with a History major and Journalism graduate from Ryerson University in Ontario, I have always believed in story telling.

I juggle motherhood, and working as a volunteer in the community. I am a member of Romance Writers of America, Romance Writers of Atlantic Canada, Writer's Federation of Nova Scotia, and Society of Children Writers and Illustrators.

I write both edgy young adult paranormal books and nitty gritty realistic teen fiction. My first nitty gritty novel, Off Leash was a semi-finalist in the 2011 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest.
