To my boys, Sam and Holden, who put up with my constant questions about what young adults say and don’t say, what music they listen to, and which type of guitar is which.

To my extraordinarily talented friend Nora Raleigh Baskin, who pushed me toward greater authenticity, and without whom I would not have managed, as Paul Hankins so beautifully described, to make “art come of putting a skin suit on magic.”

If therapeutic magic comes in a skin suit, Dr. Barbara Kanal is that so-dressed emanation; if Dr. Alvarez is good, much of her good comes from Dr. Barbara Kanal.… Thank you not only for your expertise reading, but your expertise as a ladder up all these years.

Penultimately, to Jim McCarthy, who sticks with me through the roller-coaster of this biz and works harder for me than he should have to … Your skill, time, and insight (and theatre critiques!) are endlessly appreciated. But you still owe me a lobster lunch, and I’m waiting.
