Trusting Nicole (The Last Hangman MC #4)(51)
I lean down and lick slowly along her slit, tasting her for the first time in months. It’s been way too f*cking long. We both groan when we hear a knock on the door and the front door opening.
“Gabe!” she whispers loudly and tries to wrap herself in a blanket.
“Don’t come in here!” I shout, trying not to laugh.
“It’s not funny!” she still whispers loudly.
“Oh come on you two.” Gabe groans waiting just outside of the living room. “You’re got to be f*cking kidding me.”
“Well you shouldn’t walk into my house like that!” she screeches.
“Still my house and I still got a key, didn’t expect to walk in on you two f*cking on my couch.”
“We weren’t f*cking.” I chuckle.
“Good to know. We've got to go, Brother. Got some new intel that they are going to hit the compound today. We've gotta get ready,” Gabe says from the hall.
“I’ll be right there.” I kiss Nicole and help her up. “I’ll be back as soon as I can, Kitten. We’ll continue this later.”
“We better!” She whines. She’s adorable. I kiss her softly and pull on my shoes and grab my gun.
“Is someone staying with her?” I ask Gabe.
“Yes, Bennett is waiting outside.”
“Good. I can feed him cake!” She giggles.
“Don’t feed him anymore cake! He’s going to f*cking explode.” Gabe laughs and pokes his head into the room. “Hey, Sis.”
“Get out you f*cking perv!” She chuckles as she storms into the kitchen.
“Last thing I want to see is you naked.” Gabe chuckles.
“Be careful you two.” She says, popping her head around the doorframe, looking at us with a sad expression on her face.
“We’ll be okay, Kitten. I promise.” I walk over to her and kiss her deeply.
“I hope you’re right.”
“You know I am.” I smile and kiss her forehead before heading out the door with Gabe.
“Remind me never to use my key again.” He cringes as he gets on his bike.
“Will do.” I chuckle, shaking my head as he shudders.
“Nightmares for months.”
“Big baby.” I laugh as I climb into my car.
We both drive to the compound and whilst I’m still f*cking pissed that Nicole and I were interrupted, it’s a relief that things are progressing. We might finally get some peace very soon. It’s about f*cking time, we all deserve a break after the couple of years we’ve had.
As we drive, I get a bad feeling. This seems too easy. Why go to such great lengths of constantly leading us on false trails if in the end they just lead us back to the compound for a me— It’s a f*cking trap.
I grab my phone and call Ant.
“What’s up, Sanders? Almost here?”
“Get everybody out of the compound. It’s a f*cking trap!” I yell into the phone.
“What are you talking about?” he asks, confused by what I’m saying.
“Why would they ask for a meeting after giving us the run around?”
“Fuck! Everybody get the f*ck out of here it’s a trap.” I hear Ant yell in the clubhouse. I flash my lights at Gabe and he slows down. I catch up to him.
“It’s a trap!” I yell at him as we hear a loud explosion coming from the direction of the compound.
“Fuck!” he yells and we both speed over there. I try to call Ant back, but there’s no answer. Shit, they better be alive.
When we get there, it’s a f*cking war zone. The place has been torn apart and is on fire. It looks like everybody got out of the compound safely and that only a couple of men from each of the three clubs were there for the meeting. A few are injured, but none of them seem to be badly hurt.
I jump out of my car and see Gabe already rushing to help the others. I’ve barely closed my car door when I feel a sharp pain on the back of my head and fall to the ground. The last thing I see is Ant yelling in my direction before everything goes black.
CHAPTER 19
Nicole
I smile proudly at my work. Bennett wanted a change from his longish hair so I shaved off the sides and back and trimmed the top. It looks quite neat, especially with his thick beard. He looks like a Viking.
“It looks amazing!” I grin wide and hand him a mirror.
“You did good, Nic.” He grins and looks at his new hair from every possible angle.
“I know!” I chuckle. “It was desperately needed.”
“So true. How have you been? I heard you’ve been through some crazy shit.”
“I’ve been good, just trying to make Jase understand that whether he’s with me or not, if someone wants to hurt me, they will and that he shouldn’t push me away to try and protect me but should be here doing it himself.” I shrug.
“Stubborn ass like your brothers?” He chuckles.
“You know it. So frustrating.” I frown. “What about you? How have you been?”
“I’m getting there. I can finally ride again which is such a relief because I hated not being able to ride. She’s my baby, you know. I feel shit that I wasn’t able to protect you, Viv and Jenny. I was supposed to keep you safe and I ended up getting shot.” He sighs, frustrated with himself.
