The Russian Billionaire’s Secret(78)

She knocked the door and took a step back. Matt opened the door with a towel wrapped around his waist. For a moment, Cynthia was taken aback, but quickly regained her composure.

“Oh, I thought you were…I will come back later,” she said.

“It’s quite alright, my lady, do come in,” he said with a charming smile.

Cynthia did feel a little uncomfortable inside. She had focused on getting successful in her life and she had never given a thought to dating or relationships. So, as she sat on the sofa opposite Matthew Wyss, with a bottle of the local wine between them, she could not help but stare at him. She noticed his straight long black hair, now that he had his hat off, and how it fell to his shoulders. She noticed his light, crystal blue eyes, like a frozen lake in the mountains. She noticed everything about him: his straight, slightly pointy but somehow beautiful nose; his pinks lips, thin and pursed, as though drawn with a pencil; his chiseled chin, his square jaw, his stubble with tiny black hair growing. She noticed his beautiful long neck, his abs, his chest, his muscles, his arms, his body with a small sprinkle of hair, the line of hair right below his navel, going straight down into the towel. She noticed the towel, she visualized what was underneath the towel, and she followed it all the way down to his feet. She wondered what she was looking at: a masterpiece, perfection.

“So, you came to say…” said Matt suddenly, bringing her out of her reverie. He was smiling. His upper lip revealed a row of perfect pearly white teeth.

“Oh, this wine. I am sorry, this is not how I usually do this…I mean, I don’t usually do this. Normally…” she started.

“Then how do you usually do this?” said Matt, a grin spreading across his face. Matt was a player, and he was playing with her. Only he didn’t know that Cynthia was a virgin through and through, and she had no idea he was playing.

Matt lit a cigarette as Cynthia began to speak again, ready with an explanation.

“Relax,” he said, “I am just f*cking with you.”

Cynthia looked up, wide-eyed. Never had she heard someone use these words, not since she had started working at the hotel.

“I am sorry, what?” she said.

“I said I am just f*cking with you,” said Matt slowly, focusing on each word, exhaling smoke through his nostrils and mouth at the same time.

“Oh!”

“Dear, relax. Have some wine,” said Matt, he was enjoying the play. The sheer joy of the lion getting ready to feast on prey that had no escape.

Cynthia poured wine in two glasses. She handed one to him and took the other.

“Cheers,” said Cynthia with a suppressed smile, raising her glass.

“Cheers,” Matt replied, and as the glasses clinked, his finger caressed hers.

Cynthia had a weird feeling. A sudden ache, a sensation, something she had not allowed herself to feel, busying herself with work and exhausting herself to the core day after day. As they drank, Matt slowly slid his hand inside his towel, very much intentionally, and saw Cynthia looking at him.

“Oh!” she said, catching herself staring and starting rise. “Well, I should probably go now. If you need anything…” she continued.

“Do you have a boyfriend?” Matt interrupted.

“What? No, I don’t have a boy…that’s not your business. Why are you asking?”

“Have you ever been with a man?” he asked seductively.

“No, I haven’t. Even if I have, why should I tell you that? That’s personal…” she started again, but Matt stopped her with a wave of his hand.

“Relax, like I said, just f*cking with you.”

“Well, don’t f*ck with me,” said Cynthia, flustered, trying hard to get back in control and regain her poise.

“Or what? You gonna go all Kung Fu on me?” he said, gaily pretending to be defending himself.

“I’ll leave now, thank you,” she said. “If you need anything…”

“Is there something in the sheets? I think I have got an allergy. Are there insects in the room?” Matt interrupted her again.

“…else, please let us know,” continued Cynthia at the same time.

“Mind taking a look at my balls? I think something is wrong,” said Matt.

Cynthia made for the door. As she opened the door, Matt grabbed her hand. Her heart started pounding suddenly. She knew what came next, she was about to be raped.

“I will scream if you touch me!” she warned.

“Hey, calm down. I was just playing with you. Relax. I am sorry,” said Matt. He hadn’t met anyone like Cynthia before, and he certainly hadn’t apologized to a girl before. People knew who he was and they obeyed. This, what was happening now, was different.

“All right,” said Cynthia, looking away.

“How do I make up for upsetting you?” asked Matt.

“It’s all right.”

“No, it is not. Let me make it up to you. Join me for dinner.”

“I’ll try.”

“I’ll wait.”

Matt closed the door as Cynthia left. He ran his hand through his hair and let himself fall on the bed, looking forward to his dinner. And if the disrupted line of his towel was any indication, his plans were wild. He had taken a liking to Cynthia and he always got what he want.
