The Long Way Home (Corps Security #6)(89)

I start moving, reaching out I take the hand that now has my diamond on it and place it against my chest. With each thrust of my hips, another tear falls.

“You brought me back, baby,” I murmur. “You healed me. You continue to heal me.”

“Oh baby,” she cries out, her body clenching around mine.

“There will never be a day that I don’t make sure you know how loved you are. Thank you for giving me a family, Olivia.” I push myself in as deeply as I can go. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too, baby.”

We don’t say anything else. I take her slow and don’t lift my lips from hers until we’re both swallowing each other’s cries.

It turns out, my family didn’t mind waiting for us. Not one complaint for the two hours that they sat there. When I locked eyes with my brother and saw the knowing smirk on his face, I didn’t even feel bad about making them wait. My future wife by my side, our girl sitting next to my grown son and my brother and sister-in-law all here.

Together.

Damn does it feel good to be alive.
