The Grand Pact (The Grand Men #1)(116)

I hear the tap running in the en suite and stride towards the door. She pulls it open just as I reach it, and she sucks in a breath when she sees me.

She tries to close the door, but I grab her waist, walking her backwards into the bathroom and putting her back to the door.

I bring my face to hers, our noses brushing as I reach into the slit in her dress.

“Elliot,” she warns against my lips.

My movements are hurried as I slip my fingers into the lace of her underwear, gliding my knuckles through her slickened folds. I gather the material and pull it to the side, then hike her leg around my waist, pinning her to the wall with my hips as I work my belt buckle between us. I unbutton my trousers with one hand and pull out my cock.

I keep my head angled down, refusing to look at her when she says, “Don’t do this to us.”

My hand reaches around to lift her, angling her so we line up perfectly when I inch forward. I slide in deep, and my head drops to the door, my eyes drifting closed. “Where did we go so fucking wrong?”

My hips roll, and I see stars as our hearts race between us.

I hear her voice crack and squeeze my eyes tighter. “Elliot, look at me.”

I roll my hips and try to block her out as she holds on to my back, her leg locking tighter.

“You’ll break it completely,” she mutters. “Elliot, don’t do this, please. Just look at me.”

She pulls on my tux jacket, my hair, anything she can to draw my head up.

“Kiss me, dammit!” Her teeth sink into my neck, and I rip my head up as a growl thunders through my chest.

My eyes sear through her as her mouth parts.

I wrap her throat in my palm, dancing my fingers over her neck as I pin her to the wall.

Her eyes roll, and her pussy clenches tight around me, sucking me deeper as my mouth closes in on hers. I tighten my hold, and she looks up at me as I look down my nose at her, our breaths mingling as we both pant through our arousal.

“Is this all I’ll ever get? All I’m good for?”

“No,” she chokes out, her hand fisting over mine and clenching it tighter as she whimpers.

I hold her like she wants me to. “You like that?”

“Kiss me,” she begs, a stray tear lining her face. “Please, kiss me.”

Fuck. I swallow around the ache in my throat as she pulls me impossibly closer, her hands grasping my shoulders.

My jaw goes slack as my toes curl. I lean in, swiping my tongue across the corner of her mouth and up over her cheek, licking up the saltiness. “Is this not enough for you?” My cock jerks prematurely, and I groan, thrusting deep and giving her everything I have.

She holds on tight as I pull her onto me, and I choose to bury my face back into the crevice of her neck, not being able to look into her eyes as I come inside of her.

My chest heaves between us as my breath pants across her smooth skin. I let her go, releasing her throat and pulling out of her. As I take a step back, she slaps me.

And fuck if it doesn’t feel all wrong.

“Are you happy?” She cries. “Does it feel any better now?”

“Luce…”

Her hands work on her dress, and then she looks back at me, swiping at the end of her nose.

My jaw locks tight as I try to find something to say.

I take a step towards her, but she holds a hand up, her eyes filling with tears as her voice cracks. “This isn’t you. You don’t treat me this way!”

She leaves the bathroom in a rush, but I don’t go after her, knowing she will need anyone but me.

I turn and catch my reflection in the mirror. My hair is a mess, and my tux tie is hanging half-off. I turn my neck and see the deep purple bruising forming from her teeth.

I rest against the counter and dip my head.

“What am I?”

“You’re Elliot. You’re different.”

“Different how?”

“I don’t know… I know you better than any man I’ve been with.”

“So you’d sleep with me without being in a relationship with me?”

“No.”

“No?”

“It’s about the connection in that moment. The feelings. Not the relationship.”

“Okay. So I have to make you feel something.”

A sick feeling rises in my stomach. I push off the basin and leave the bathroom after her.

I find everyone in the living area and quickly pull Nina to one side. “Where is she?”

“Luce?”

“Yeah.”

“I thought she was with you.”

“She didn’t come back out?”

Nina shakes her head and glares at me. “What did you do?”

“Nothing.” I take off towards the bedrooms again. She has to be in one of them.

“Elliot,” Vinny stops me as I round the corner. He walks in through the bifold doors and nods his head for me to go to him. “She’s gone for a walk. I was just getting Nina.”

“Which way?”

“Coastal.”

The sun’s almost set, but there’s a purple hue setting the sky alight as the winds whip up. “I’ll go. Don’t tell Nina.”

He nods his head.

I leave the lodge and follow the coastal path I’d been on earlier.
