The Cocaine Princess Part 5 (Cocaine Princess Series #5)(78)

He felt the bullet hit the back of his neck before he heard the gunshot.

Falling to the ground next to his Phantom, he picked up one of his .50-calibers, turned so that his back would meet the ground first, aimed the heavy gun at T-Walk’s chest, and squeezed off two shots… just as T-Walk sent another round his way.

The bullet ripped through Blake’s right cheek and exited the back of his head. Images of his life experiences flashed cross his mind; images of his daughter, his parents, King Neal, and Alexus.

Then the darkness took him.

Chapter 53

“I’ll help you get Rita out of there safely, but don’t think for one minute that I’m over what you had done to my mother,” Mercedes muttered, staring out the tinted side window as the limo stopped in front of the church on the corner of 8th and Willard.

Alexus was crying into the palms of her blood-covered hands. ‘Not Papi!’ She kept thinking. ‘Please, God, not Papi. Not my Papi!’

“This is not the time to be breaking down,” Mercedes advised. “We need to get in there as soon as possible.”

Reluctantly, Alexus lifted her hands. She looked at the splotches of her father’s blood that had soaked into her long fur coat. Eyed a group of drug-dealers who were gathered beside Blake’s convenience store two blocks down. Then, thumbing away her tears, she mumbled, “Come on,” and pushed open her door, wondering if she and her sister would survive whatever it was Aunt Jenny had planned for them.
