The Cocaine Princess Part 5 (Cocaine Princess Series #5)(63)
Blake ended up buying two ounces of White Russian Kush for seven hundred dollars apiece, and in the process, he gained a new weed man. Nutso, claimed to have numerous “grow houses” all over the Midwest where he routinely grew and packaged all kinds of Kush. He agreed to dump thirty pounds of White Russian on Fly for $5,000 a pound.
Needless to say, Blake was elated.
He hung out with everyone for nearly an hour, smoking blunts, talking to his artists, and taking pictures with the models. Then he sneaked off to his master bedroom with Nona, Tootie, and Tameka.
He had no idea how crazy his night was about to get.
Chapter 38
“You do know that we can’t land at O’Hare or Midway right? Security’s been stepped up at every major airport in the country, and it’s because of you,” said the Mexican pilot.
Seated behind him, Jenny Costilla was gazing out her window as the pilot steered the small Cessna plane through a pall of clouds. She was wondering why Santiago had not yet called her, especially since he knew that today was the big day.
‘He must be with Papi,’ she thought to herself.
“Hay, are you listening to me?” The pilot said, looking over his shoulder at Jenny. “You’re gonna have to parachute, Jenny. There’s really no other way. And I need that payment before you jump.”
“Will you please stop talking? I’m trying to think back here.”
“I’m…just saying. Favor for a favor. My daughter’s college loans are through the roof. That eighty grand’ll set us straight.”
There was a stainless steel briefcase on the seat next to Jenny. She put it on her lap, opened it, and examined its contents: $500,000 in hundred dollar bills; an MP-5 submachine gun with an additional silencer and shoulder strap; and two smartphones—an iPhone5 and a Samsung Galaxy S III.
She used the iPhone to send her son another empty text message. It was the seventh one she’d sent since they had stopped to refuel at a small landing strip in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
“Where are we now?” Jenny asked.
“We’ll be crossing over into Chicago in fifteen minutes.”
“Turn east and head to Michigan City.”
“Indiana?” He glanced over his shoulder again. “What’s in Indiana? Is it where you’re hiding all that weapon-grade uranium the FBI says you stole?”
“First off,” Jenny snapped, slamming the briefcase shut, “I’d never even heard of uranium until the FBI accused me of stealing it. Now shut the hell up and mind your business. My boyfriend is waiting for me in Michigan City. Get me there.”
The pilot shrugged. “You’re still gonna have to jump.”
“I said shut up,” Jenny hissed.
She sat back in her seat, took the Samsung smartphone out of the briefcase, and turned it on. Only one number was programmed into its contacts list.
And dialing that number would start the one hour timer on the nuclear weapon that Jenny Costilla was so proud of.
Twenty minutes later they were in Michigan City, soaring over the beach at Lake Michigan. When Jenny spotted the small boat Miguel had rented, she put on a parachute, pulled a Glock from inside the blazer of her black Prada pantsuit, and shot the pilot twice in the back of the head.
Then she opened the plane’s side door and jumped.
Chapter 39
“How did she even get into the country?” Alexus said as she paced back and forth through the cabin of Papi’s sixteen-passenger Gulfstream 5. “Isn’t she barred from entering the US?”
The daunting notion of Jenny Costilla being in the United States—possibly with a nuclear warhead—kept everyone quiet for a moment. Papi and Flako were smoking Cuban cigars, drinking Ace of Spades champagne, and staring thoughtfully at the ceiling, and the others were eating the lobster and crab cakes that the two flight attendants had just served.
But Alexus had lost her appetite the second she’d learned that Papi had blown Santiago’s brains out. The macabre image of her blood-splattered front steps was still fresh in her mind. She wanted to call Blake and let him know what was going on, because Aunt Jenny was known for attacking the loved ones of her enemies.
Alexus didn’t know what she would do if something bad happened to Blake.
“Has anyone reached out to Bowden?” She asked.
Papi looked at her and shook his head. “Screw Bowden. Screw the whole f*cking Central Intelligence Agency. I’m no snitch, you know? This is family business, and we will handle it as such.”
“Are you serious?” Alexus was incredulous. “This is a matter of national security. Hundreds of thousands of American lives could be lost in an instant if Aunt Jenny has what the CIA thinks she has. We have to alert them.”
Bella scoffed, shaking her head and swallowing her last bite of lobster. “See what I mean, Uncle Papi? Your daughter’s weak. There’s no way she’ll be able to run the family business.”
Alexus scowled at Bella, then flicked her eyes at Mercedes and Porsche; they were on the edge of their seats, taking in every word. Cereniti was sitting in a window seat beside T-Walk, and they too were silently watching Alexus, perhaps remembering the terror the nation had experienced back when Jenny Costilla and her al Qaeda affiliates had hijacked a Boeing jet and crashed it into Alexus’s Miami Beach house.
