Taking Shots (Assassins, #1)(64)

“Well, then,” she whispered, looking up at him, “that was amazing.”

“Damn right it was,” Shea all but groaned out, she smiled shyly, and nuzzled her nose in his neck, taking a deep breath.

“Thank you,” she whispered again. He smiled.

“Anytime baby, anytime.”

When the sun shone on Shea’s face, since he had forgotten to close the curtains the night before; he opened his eyes, taking in a deep breath as he stretched his arms above his head. Elli stirred beside him, but only to cuddle closer to him. He looked down at her; she was sleeping with her face cupped by her hand, looking too sweet for words. He smiled, moving her hair out of her face as he kissed her forehead. It felt so good having her beside him like this.

He hadn’t woken up with her beside him yet, every time she had stayed she had to rush off to the studio, so this was heaven in his mind. Especially with what they did early that morning, which reminded him he needed to take a shower. He kissed her neck before climbing out of bed and going into the bathroom. He took his clothes off and jumped in, letting the jets hit him from every direction. As he washed, all he could think about was Elli’s little hot body last night, her screams, moans, everything.

Jesus, she was hot.

He couldn’t remember the last time he came in his pants after only fingering a female, it had to be ninth grade, with Ashley Ryan, a gorgeous red head, with puffy lips, yeah, had to be her. He shook his head with a grin on his face as he came out the shower. While he brushed his teeth and shaved, he couldn’t wipe the shit eating grin he had on his face off.

He'd fingered Elli.

Oh, yeah.

Shea shook his head at himself, he sounded like a freaking teenager, so pathetic, he thought with a laugh as he came out of the bathroom.

“What are you laughin’ about?” Shea looked over at the bed; Elli was laying against the pillows, the blankets up to her chin with a grin on her face.

He shook his head, “Last night.”

“What so funny about last night?” her grin left, and was replaced with a nervous, shy look. He shook his head again, climbing on to the bed, covering her body with his.

“Not funny, but more like I can’t believe I was able to get my fingers inside of you,” the blush covering her cheeks made his breath hitch, she was so pretty, “I feel like a teenager, you make me feel like this Elli, it’s crazy.”

For the first time, Shea felt like he was blushing as she smiled, cupping his face in her hands and kissing his lips.

“It’s about time,” she said against his lips, “You’ve been making me feel like one since day one!” He laughed, before kissing her again.

He was falling more and more in love each day and part of him thought maybe she was too, but weren’t women supposed to be super emotional and tell you everything? Because trying to get something out of Elli was like pulling teeth. He wanted to know if she felt half of what he was feeling, he wanted to hear her say it, but he didn’t want to scare her when he said it and he didn’t want to tell her and then she didn’t say anything.

That would be horrific.

“What time is it?” she asked, moving his hair out of his eyes, he needed a haircut.

“Almost nine.”

“Ugh, it feels so early,” she complained, he smiled, kissing her neck. “I got a wedding at eleven, then another one at six. Blah.”

“Busy girl.” She smiled, smacking his butt before moving out from underneath him.

“Wanna go get some breakfast when I get out the shower, if we got time?”

“Sure, baby,” he said with a smile as he watched her walk towards her bag, grabbing it before heading into the bathroom.

“Damn,” he muttered as he covered his face with his hands, she drove him mad.

They didn’t have time for breakfast, Elli said she was having a bad hair day, but when she came out the bathroom, she looked gorgeous. Part of Shea didn’t want to let her go out in her tight black pants and low cut top. For one, the pants made her ass look so damn delectable, he wanted to eat it, and two, he didn’t like the idea of anyone looking at her toes but him.

Shea was starting to think he was developing a problem. What man was obsessed with a girl’s feet? But he just loved how cute and white they were, all bundled up in high heels with only her big toe showing. Even the purple nail polish on her toes drove him crazy. It was nail polish!

He needed help.

“I think I need help,” he said as he handed her a muffin and orange juice in a can, she looked at him weird, then smiled.

“Why?”

“I like your feet.” She rolled her eyes, giggling as she came around the bar, kissing his cheek.

“My feet are ugly; I’m on them too much.”

“No, baby, really. The purple polish drives me mad.” Elli just kept smiling, kissing his lips this time.

“I like your neck,” she said with a wink that sent heat straight to his crotch, as she walked toward the door, picking up her camera bag. “What are you doing later?”

“I’m gonna be waiting for you to come back. You said Adler was with your brother for the weekend?”

“Yeah, Penny wanted him to spend the night and since you were coming home, I agreed.”

“Good, I told you, you can bring him here if you need to.”
