“Luc, bro, you good?” I ask him.

“I met an angel,” he says with a lopsided grin.

“Fuck, no fucking angels, Luca. You’re destined for hell, remember? We’ve got our own apartment on layaway there.” My eyes scan his body. He seems okay. The medics are cutting his clothes and padding off.

“I’m fine, Romeo. It’s just a little bullet hole. I need you to get her out of here. That bullet was meant for her,” he says.

“Who?” I ask. He nods his head to one side and I follow the direction, spotting the singer Livvy is obsessed with. The girl’s surrounded by security. She’s yelling about something, trying to get past them. “I’ve got her.”

“Get the footage from every goddamn camera in this place. One of them has to have seen something,” Pops says to Theo and Matteo.

“I think she wants you to move, assholes.” I grab one of the security guys from the back of his shirt and shove him away from the woman. “Need a hand, sweetheart?” I ask her.

“Thank you.” She barges past me, falling to the ground next to Luca. “I’m Katarina. We didn’t get to meet properly,” she says.

“Luca.”

I watch, knowing all too well the look in my twin brother’s eyes. He’s just caught the one thing he swore he never would. Feelings for a woman.

“Do me a favor. Let my brothers get you out of here,” he says.

“Are you going to be okay? Why isn’t there an ambulance here yet?” Katarina yells out, looking around the stadium.

“I’m fine. This is nothing. Just a scratch.” Luca smirks.

“Come on, let’s go.” I pull the girl to her feet.

“Romeo…” Luca starts, then stops whatever he was about to say.

“I know, man. I know,” I tell him. Because I do. I know better than anyone…
